Smoked?Grill burgers. Am I crazy for demanding my burgers have that red ring on them?

It basically is. You can get one out of just charcoal. I find ground beef picks it up particularly fast, when cooked over indirect heat with charcoal, for some reason. My Pit Barrel Cooker will put a ring on a pork butt without wood in the mix too. I just don't consider it smoked if you are cooking above 350.Ah. I thought it was a smoke ring.
Do we have a general cooking/foodmaking thread here or are you all open to me just posting things I make here?
What's your opinion of this pan?If you include pics of well seasoned baking sheets with your food pics, @vollygirl gets a little "silly."

The pan in this pic looks dirty to me, not seasoned.Very proper. I don't remember sending that to you !! True story. My mom is a cook of anything. Baking. Cooking ?Whatever. She had better fried chicken than KFC. She had some older sheet pans that were so well used and seasoned the tops were that envious black color you get on proper iron skillets. I took a couple smaller ones as they are handy. My wife thought they were nasty and ruined and threw them out one day. And on top of the freezer is a brand new pack of unopened sheet pans she ordered from Belk. And we have one fairly new non-stick and two that look like above. I am not going to open the new ones.
