Frito pie

It’s been many many years but growing up my dad use to make that. It was the only thing I ever remember him cooking. My sister and I would kind of watch and laugh a little bit because it’s the only thing that he would ever cook. Obviously coming from a southern family mom did all the cooking! But his Frito pie was really good. I kind of miss that ...

Crazy. I guess it is a chain? I had never heard of it until tonight, my sister in law brought it over to my parents house for dinner.

I don't know if it is a chain or not, had several good dishes from there on the occasions that we managed to stop while in town.

It is a chain. I eat at the one in Mt Juliet when I am through there. Love their food

Brisket arrived at noon, frozen. Thawed all day, it is now in the smoker at 180. Will get up at 6-7AM and adjust the temp to ensure I get the internal temp up prior to wrapping.
