What did you have for dinner II?

Had "Philly" hamburger helper with a twist.

Added chopped onions and corn to the mix.

And then a big old spoonful of hot chowchow on top after it was in the bowl.

It won't win any contests but it was better than plain.

In Philly itself, John's Roast Pork uses white American cheese. I'm not gonna diss John's sammies. I prefer provolone on a cheese steak, but dayum, his sammies are delish.

Baked pork chops with broccoli and taters.

The pork chops were sprinkled with Penzey's Lemon Pepper. I made an egg wash as well as mixture of Italian and Panko breadcrumbs with Penzey's Brady Street mixed in. Rolled the chops in the egg wash then pressed the breadcrumbs on them. Browned in a skillet on both sides then finished in the oven. Topped with a drizzle of mixed Balsamic glaze, honey, Dijon mustard, and Penzey's Horseradish spice.

That sounds great.

Six strips of Applewood smoked bacon, 3 over medium fried eggs (fried in bacon grease), and 2 slices of pan fried toast with Apple jelly.

Tonight it's pinto beans flavored with hog jowl bacon and onion, crispy fried potatoes, and pan fried cornbread.

Just waiting on the beans to finish before digging in.

Gonna be goooooood....

Chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Didn’t eat a lot, but ate some.

Cast iron seared ribeye, cooked in butter and a touch of Chicago steak seasoning. Crispy fried potatoes and caramelized onions.
