My understanding is most short grain rice can be "sushi rice" since the definition of sushi in Japanese is vinegared rice. Not all rice can be sticky unless my wife cooks it :p Sticky rice is glutenous rice and is most often a sweet dessert type of fix. If you get a chance lay hands on black or 'forbidden' rice... it is worth the effort! Jasmine is usually my go to unless I'm fixing authentic Cajun then I got to use long grain white rice since I don't want my great grandma to come haunt me.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan either but this alfredo I made was one of the best alfredo sauces I've ever made or even had anywhere at any price. 18 month old aged parmigiana Reggiano and asiago with a touch of white pepper and nutmeg about 4 ozs of chicken and a handful of fresh spinach. You are looking at probably 1/2 of a plated order and with a side salad, garlic bread it was $10.99. Our customers loved it so gonna have to do it again.

When I lived in Hawai’i, there was this weird obsession with rice and brown gravy. This was before the Japanese curry craze hit, but sort of a forerunner, I guess.

If you want to eat rice and gravy with chopsticks, the rice had better be pretty dang sticky.

I’m not a huge fan, although it’s nice to know that there’s an emergency substitute for superballs etc

went with the veggie pizza we bought thursday since snow sent us back to airbnb at sunset.
alabama wife freaks at thought of ice. snow all day but temp was 34 when we watched local news. squirred away kung pao chicken from night before at son's house. the pizza box, btw, was too big to fit in frig

After reading this, I told my wife I’d like some Chinese for dinner! We had Emma’s Asian in Morristown for takeout.

two smashed 1/4lb burgers served with pepper jack and cheddar, with chopped hatch chilies, caramelized onions, green chile mayonnaise, and bbq sauce on griddled companion sourdough...

starteed chomping down right after vandy pulled ahead, when i got back to tube, it was double digits, vols
