Potato Geuyere Cheese Casserole

Served it with Romaine salad tossed with ranch dressing

Geuyere is fantastic, but it turned a $1.75 tater pot into a $15.53 meal.

Wife will do a mac and cheese, forget which chef recipe, but it is a mix of cheddar and geuyere, and all other good things topped with bread crumbs and sliced tomato. The geuyere makes that mac and cheese.

I notice that I had a Joe moment in my dinner post last night - I misspelled Gruyere as "Geuyere."

Geaux melty cheese!

Pork chops cut from a whole tenderloin-marinated in Dales, grilled over charcoal, Broccoli and cauliflower tossed in melted butter parmesan cheese- over baked until tips start to blacken and little red potatoes coated with olive oil and sea salt- baked for an hr then mashed flat and baked another 20 minutes then topped with shredded mild cheddar

20200424_190517.jpgwe called in from a new place, been open about a year, called wolfecreek bbq. I got the brisket, macaroni, and onion straws, and it was good. Also stole some ribs and pulled smoked chicken from my wife and kids. Key lime pie for dessert!

So havent posted in this thread for a bit... posted in the fishing thread A few times as a distraction. Had fried crappie fillets tonight me and my wife caught last Tuesday. Shortly after I got boat in the barn Tuesday my brother ( a cop whose office was about 1/2 mile from my dads facility) called asking if dad has a dnr. He did and I had filed a copy with hospice and the home. My brother stopped first responders...My dad was called home by our lord mercifully on Tuesday about 4 pm. He had been in the facility for one week...
I had thrown the crappie in the fridge and headed down to be with my dads body and family until the funeral home got there. We had a small family and two caretaker lady service today at noon and I had those crappie for dinner and cried the whole time eating them cause my wife caught a 2.5 lb crappie and the last time my dad was able to fish with me we released a 2.5 lb crappie (different place) And was always his favorite to catch. That was 2 years to the day from Tuesday and I told my wife she would have to tell papa she tied him, but she never got the chance.
Please believe me when I say don’t be sorry it was the most merciful thing for him and certainly for mom. We did all we could for 3.5 years and that disease had reduced to a shell of the man he was.

Thanks for telling us. I know how tough this has been, especially for your mom. I hope that all of you will be able to remember the good times you had with the man he really was before this dreadful illness hit.

Wet a line for us all.

Didn't have time to fully respond when I saw this earlier, but we're praying for you man.
