I'm not sure. There was a small single wide "drive-in" on the left going nito downtown that was a dog joint. If that's it I've had it. But, I have had Gumlog a few times. There's a wood building BBQ in downtown accross form the gun store that's pretty tight too. Only place nearby that smokes the chicken correctly. Last, but certainly best, have you ever eaten anything ffrom that Menonite restaurant in Lavonia downtown??? OMG!!!! Especially the pies and cakes. If you have not, go treat your family to a dinner or lunch there. It's called 211 Main Street.

And that BP station outside of Cleveland at the redlight when you come in from Clarksville is the world's best biscuits hands down. That woman knows.

For traditional GA fish houses try Booty's or Red Minnow in the Lavonia/Royston area. Worth the drive. (The finest fishouse in all of GA was The Lighthouse down in Milner. Looked it up last time in area and is closed. Guess there was no one to pass down to. Best place ever. River Run is Milner supposed to be legit, but not same people. To be a legit fish house anywhere, the first thing on the menu must always be whole fried catfish.


Edit - Yes. Finley's. We are thinking of same place. It is a pretty good place. My first time eating there, I got the runs. But, I gave it a another try or two...successfully. They've been around quite a while now.

So, what are you technically? Cornelia/Baldwin? I know if you take the south run on the two lane from the 441 split off at the top of Toccoa bypass, you get down in your area. I had an interview one time at a plant off the main road cutting through those towns. Might have been back behind a Hardees. Maybe that place at Airport Rd & Industrial.

You may have gone cheaper than him, but Ooni ain't cheap. What size is yours? Woodfire, or mutli-fuel? And does it cook to your liking heat and flavor wise, etc. Looking at gifting the son one for xmas.

Currently looking at this two burner from Bighorn for under $250:

also looking at a brand that looks like yours but is a 16" and can use propane or wood and comes with the gadgets for under $200 and seems to review well.

I'm in between Demorest, and Cornelia. I've been to bootys, but still haven't been to gumlog, heard it's really good. I had Finley's the other day, pretty good hot dogs! I agree about the BP you mentioned, I still get biscuits therešŸ˜†

We got around up there pretty good. Played some golf over in Hollywood too. Heck, I probably drove right by your house on occasion and never knew it.
