What are some plays/formations that you HATE?

What! how can you hate the stretch play! I'm about to finish a bottle of Knob Creek, because I know of no other way to deal with such a statement!

The stretch is one of the largest parts of Oregon and Urban Myer's offenses. A lot of pro, college, and HS teams are getting rid of the inside zone play, because stretch is so much easier to teach and execute. The stretch play is the entire reason why I love zone running plays.

The stretch play is what made Peyton Manning s entire offense work in Indy.

I'm sorry but to me it looks like the choices are the qb pulls it back for a play-action pass which may or may not work, or does hand it off ... for a 2-yd loss every time we run it. That's how I could hate it.

But if I had some Knob Creek, I would hate it less.

This or the aforementioned wildcrap formation.

On a side note I see Crompton is still hanging around the NFL? Whodathunkit?

Well he was a durable kid. So perfect for practice squad to beat up and he keeps getting back up. Also give defense confindence by continually throwing balls to them.

Maybe we can get Breakerboy in here to tell us which defense he likes to use for the new College Gameday on PS3.

Oh, the squib kick. Genius! The Great Pumpkin had a lot of 'Greatest Hits'

The one I remember most is the '06 Cal game. First play from scrimmage was a play action that got huge yards. Did the same thing against Air Force and got a big play out of it as well, although we barely won the game. Did the same thing against FL and the ball got intercepted. I don't know if he assumed FL just didn't watch any film or what?

Again I firmly believe any formation if executed properly with talented enough players is the key. If not executed properly then the X's & O's get us. However if executed properly and the other side of the the executes properly, then it comes down to who has the better Jimmys' & Joes'.

Read this 6 times.
my head hurts.

up the middle, over and over.
Same back, same play.
Even a kid can read this.
It is so easy for the opposing defenses to zero in on and stop.
How about a fake to the back and a surprise once in awhile?.
