I hate most screens, because my high school ran an offense that was based on screens. I also hate sprint draws. I don't understand running out of shot gun either.
Oregon, Auburn, Florida under Urban Myer, and USCjr all understand running out of the shotgun.
It is actually an advantage for the offense, you get to spread the defense and force them to play pass, and if you have a qb who can hold the backside DE, the numbers are now in the offenses favor in the running game (as opposed to running from under center, where you lose one player because the QB hands the ball off).
I love screen passes. I think we don't use enough screens.
