I get people are dissatisfied with the losses but the anger and vitriol is out of control. We are fans, with no division 1 coaching experience coordinating players and their classes & grades, practices, recruiting, travel schedules, media sessions, and unrealistic fan expectations.

I agree the coaching staff heavily contributed to the OK and UF losses but hypocritical attitudes on this site are out of control. When everyone on here continues to claim to know to coach better, direct the athletic department better, and generally do anything better but get furious when the coach refuses to bow to them and cry arrogance.

And your delusional if you think any quality coach would come here with a fan base that has shown with Jones and Martin that we turn fast, have zero patience, and aren't loyal at all.

I'm disappointed in the season so far but I'm more disappointed with the "fans" on this site. Sadly it's the same kind of "fans" I've run into at games and it is embarrassing. These are 18-22 yr olds playing hard and they got booed at home. Just a sad day, and it's not butch' fault, it's the people who did it

Maybe I listened to the wrong press conference, but I didn't hear that! I heard him talking about fundamentals, and eye discipline and coaching needing to improve. There were the usual cliches as well. He also mentioned that they made critical errors on critical plays. The other thing he mentioned was that there were 15 reads and Dobbs threw the ball out to the WR/RB instead of keeping it. Coaching obviously needs to improve, but player execution and discipline also need to improve.

Wonder how many of these highly touted players will be here next year? The WRs are 4 & 5* and was brought in to block in this poor excuse of an offense. Don't blame any of these kids if they leave.

"People dish out temporary negativity that have the possibility to do long term damage in the grand scheme of our program. Recruiting, coaches etc- We lost to OU who is undefeated, Florida who defeated Ole Miss who beat Bama. I don't think we're that far off. One would say look at what Florida is doing with their new coach, stop comparing programs; comparison is the thief of joy and makes you forget that the past two years Butch Jones and his staff has improved our program on/off the field tremendously and Florida didn't fire Coach Fulmer, hire Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley. You have every right to feel how you feel their your feelings but be cognizant of how the national media portrays our supporters and paint the picture of turning on their coaches & players which can come back to bite us in recruiting. Tennessee is known for being a family and that plays a huge part in the reason recruits want to come to a program and of course wins as well but when another SEC Coach can tell a recruit when it get's a little rocky on rockyTop they turn on you or if our supporters play a part in a scenario where we're looking for another coach who in their right mind would want the job. At a certain point the negativity becomes water under the bridge and counter productive, we lost 3 games and you're basing judgement and trying to say it defines who Butch, his Staff and our players are. That's just like someone judging you off of three bad choices you made. BY THE WAY I'M NOT ON PAY ROLL BY BUTCH OR UT FOOTBALL IN NO FASHION. Perfect Answer; now if Mack Crowder, one of his family members or another graduating team member decides to reveal that an altercation actually in fact "did" happen, Butch can avoid criminal or NCAA " Lying about abuse charges" by saying, " I've never said it didn't happen, I said that it was absolutely ridiculous that it did happen " !!! I hope & pray that this crap doesn't end up turning into a full blown abuse investigation after the present seniors are no longer under the threat of losing their scholarships & their senior season !!!

I heard him say , in a paraphrased manner, that he told the team that football is like life, and this is a tough time which they need to own and fix, and you find out who is with you and who isn't during tough times. Not grasping for straws, just a little gun shy after what happened to Bruce Pearl !!! Glad Coach Butch Jones is choosing his words wisely; looking down the road & staying ahead of the curve !!! True or false, he needs to be ready for this crap to resurface if he isn't perfect from now through Dec. !!! I hope he is up to the task & that victories erase all mention of any verbal or physical abuse towards our players by anyone on the coaching staff !!! I truly hope the players are laughing & making jokes about these vicious rumors & celebrating when the season is over !!! GO VOLS....9-3 plus Bowl victory...Damn Right I like Orange Kool Aide & I pay these prices & I pay no more !!!
