Forgot about that. Again I'm not saying any body is doing great...maybe Trevor Daniel, maybe Evan Berry as a returner...JRM has REALLY progressed imo...
I think folks are in a mood which is understandable. If one looks for the negative there is plenty to find, if one looks for positives there are some.
That's all.
Only problem is the negatives still far outweigh the positives so it's a net negative result.
Sure, there are plenty of things that have improved but is it a result of coaching or simply bringing in more talented players?
Kind of the chicken versus egg question like what we are discussing with the O line.
Has the O line actually improved or are the stats better simply from having a more mobile QB and running the ball 2/3 of the time?
Looks more like the latter to me.
People look around the SEC and see programs that were in similar situations getting positive results. Ole Miss beating Bama, Florida standing at 5-0 etc.
Jones didn't need to win the conference or even the East this year. He needed to win a game against a credible opponent this season and time is running out on him quick to do that.
Weighs on a fan base for as long as this program has been struck in neutral.
