What about Bobby Johnson at UT

I still think Johnson is the logical choice for Clemson if Bowden were to be fired.

I'm sure he'd get a call. Rick Stockstill is another Clemson guy that's having some success in Middle Tennessee.

I don't think either of those guys could take Clemson to the next level, however.

Good point. I have to agree that the average Clemson fan would not be overly excited about a Vandy coach coming to rescue them.

No thanks on the Bobby suggestion.

However, I do wonder if Spurrier is getting bored with the USC gig since it is not working out and if that would be Bobby's dream job.

Marvin Lewis would be worse than Fulmer. He has shown he cannot disipline players.

just nfl experience and behind baltimore coach a won the super bowl with his defense.and he would come to easier competiton at college, and saban and spurrier coached in the bnfl, and they probably learned alot in the nfl with giving them more experience in beatin opponents etc.

You do know that both Spurrier and Saban were massive failures in the NFL, right?

not saying they did good in the nfl, just saying gettin an nfl coach who won the super bowl with his defense, could really give him an advantage,of being a good coach in college.

not argiuing with u,just saying stop being stubborn, just watch saban go at alabama in next 10 years.

I'm not. I'm arguing with you on the point saying that Steve Spurrier was a good NFL head coach.

Besides, college and the NFL are two totally different games. NFL coaches have failed in college, and college coaches have failed in the NFL.

Would he fit in at UT? He seems to be a truely coach and has really kept Vandy in some really close games. From what I hear he has lots of disipline too, no cussing on the field and all yes sir no sir. What do you think?

No, but Id take him over Fulmer.

No he needs to stay in Cashville, we don't need Vandy leftovers...Are we reduced to hypothesising about the eternal basement dweller's coach coming here? One good year doesn't deem you worthy of donning the old resilent power "T"!

How about Vince Young from Nashville--he's riding the bench, and he might be willing to come in and teach the Texas spread offense baby!!!
