This is why I quit caring about watching Sunday games. I have always thought Saturday's were the purest form of seeing some one give there all.
In case anybody is wondering how players feel.
Very few , but with the loudest voices, kind of like what you're seeing around the country with these riots. They're driving the train and a lot of people are standing by and letting them..I think we must remember that the huge majority of college athletes want to play and are good people. Unfortunately, the vocal few are instigators who create all the noise and mess we are seeing today. I'm not sure where along the way we thought submitting to the demands of the few was a good idea.
The real issue is player's, coache's and fan's health and liability. of the NCAA, the Conferences, and the Universities. This virus is no going away this Fall. We will have to see what happens with the progress of getting an effective vaccine by the Spring. If any of the vaccine candidates prove to be safe and effective, we might see collage football in the Spring and next Fall. Lets hope for the best and be prepared to take advantage of the opportunities when they present themselves.I'm sure the overwhelming majority want to play.
Unfortunately, players from the PAC12 and Big 10 and their list of demands are probably contributing to the idea of shutting it down this fall
We’re all to blame for these player groups and their demands. We’ve created a bunch of 18 year old spoiled narcissists who’ve been given everything and still want more. Why is anyone surprised when grown adults hang on every tweet these 5 star athletes send out when they’re 16 and 17 years old? Coaches, parents, and their communities treat them like they’re infallible and the source of everyone’s happiness in the Fall. Programs roll out the red carpet just to have them visit their campus, parents spare no expense for personal trainers, camps, and equipment, and it goes on and on. Just watch the way these egomaniacs make their college decision with the hats on the table, pulling off jerseys, and other stupid stunts. Who is to blame? All of us
If you hate the players so much, why in the hell do you bother to follow college football? We’re all to blame for these player groups and their demands. This generation bad! Young people bad! Players creating billions in revenue and wanting a voice bad! Am I doing this right?
Really good post. Just like all the demands of the vocal few in life.Who really cares what they want or are upset about. Put God first in your life followed by family and work and I promise you your life will wind up being pretty darn good.I think we must remember that the huge majority of college athletes want to play and are good people. This is the first thing you've said in these posts I wholeheartedly agree with.[/QU
Look at what happened with Mike Gundy. Some player whines about a t-shirt he wore, and he's apologizing and giving up $ 1 million in salary as a penance. WTF I wouldn't let my son play for a candy ass like that. We’re all to blame for these player groups and their demands. College football got highjacked by politics this year... They're not going to play because of a virus with a 99.8 percent rate of survival and now a list of demands by players. Running from this virus was never the answer and has made life worse for everyone.
