It could be that the search firm has some advanced filter to screen the database and eliminate coaches with winning records.

Such coaches would likely be less appreciative of winning the UT lottery and we needed someone who better appreciates what we're giving away.

Dooley seems quite thankful, so the strategy appears to have worked.

No, I genuinely do enjoy those. You have to take the good with the bad with people sometimes.

There are many fans like you who aren't crazy about the hire, but you are beating a dead horse at this point. CDD is our new coach for better or worse and the best thing to do is get behind him. You've already made enough posts to pull out "I told you so" threads if it doesn't work out.

I am with you on this crusade Hat, I don't like the hire 1 bit. Hambone needs to be fired for his rush to fill the vacancy. Hambone will now be known to me as Bozo the clown and Dooley will be known as Bubbles.

May I remind you that Kiffin's record wasn't that great either, and he was looking pretty good until a few days ago.

Dude you should change your screen name to Debbie_Downer4UT. Why don't you just not post untill we are good again, or untill UT comes to you and asks your opinion on the next hire. Cause everybody knows that they are worried about what you think, because your opinion means so much more than everybody else's due to your obscenely high post count. but Hat, La. Tech improved under Dooley!!!! I mean, who cares they only improved one game with Dooley than their previous coach his last three years, or the fact they went 4-8 last year there!!!! I mean, he seems like a genuine guy and he has a southern accent!!!!!!!!!!

I can deal with Rookie, I've been called alot worse things (like Private!!!). What can I say, I'm too cheap to pay my Volquest membership, so I've been downgraded to the "free" forums. When I save up my allowance maybe I'll bouce out. :p GBO!!!

17 of those are teams that LT should be losing too every year. Maybe they should have taken one or two from Nevada but the only "let down" games I see are Army, USU, Idaho (who won a bowl game this year)
