I like Butch, but I can't believe he said that.

He's getting absolutely murdered on local sports radio here in North Carolina, as in 5 1/2 hours away. They just did 2-3 minutes making fun of him.

He's taking a beating everywhere on this. SDS, sports talk radio, all over the interweb. And to be honest, his comment almost comes across as somewhat patronizing toward his recruits. He just needs to quit thinking up new cliches and start worrying about coaching and game management.

The only reason they are close to us is because they have 14 players, however they have 2 5 star players and 9 4 star players, along with 3 3 stars.

By contrast The Vols have 1 5 star, 6 4 star and and 20 3 stars.

Not bashing the guys that commit to the Vols but statistics show that the majority of those 3 star players will never make a name for themselves. So lets please not act like we are on the same level as Clemson.
And of course recruting isnt all that matters, coaching does as well. But we lose to teams like Vandy so that tells you where are staff is.
