No, that's not what TPP was.
Did Pu..., I mean Donald, tell you this?
Do you think China plays by the rules of a trade agreement? They devalue their currency to undercut the market. They charge tariffs despite being in a Free Trade organization called the WTO.
China wasn't being punished by us because our politicians are a bunch of pansies.
We should instead make deals with countries 1 by 1 so they're easier to enforce.
Predictably, after all the outrage and wailing about the TPP during the primaries, liberals are now all for it. Hilarious.
yeah, i believe michael moore, volprof's hero, was against it and many union people. suddenly it's wonderful now.
poor volprof, he just doesn't understand.
Since the end of World War II, Americas economic leadership has rested on a philosophy that the freer the flow of world trade, the stronger the tides of human progress and peace among nations. Those wise words were spoken exactly 30 years ago by Americas 40th president, Ronald Reagan. The father of Americas modern conservative movement understood that free trade and open markets are key components of conservative economic and political theory because they lead to economic growth and international security. When people and nations trade together, as Reagans words remind us, it binds them together and promotes peace.
This used to be the GOP policy
A Vote Against Trade Is a Vote Against Growth
Now Trump knows better.
