Excellent. Agent Trump getting right down to business.

Now China can have all of Asia. We weren't doing anything with it anyway.

No, that's not what TPP was.

Did Pu..., I mean Donald, tell you this?

Do you think China plays by the rules of a trade agreement? They devalue their currency to undercut the market. They charge tariffs despite being in a Free Trade organization called the WTO.

China wasn't being punished by us because our politicians are a bunch of pansies.

We should instead make deals with countries 1 by 1 so they're easier to enforce.

The WTO is not a free trade organization.

Predictably, after all the outrage and wailing about the TPP during the primaries, liberals are now all for it. Hilarious.

All you have to do to know the talking points for the next 4 years are replace "Democrat" with "Republican" and replace "Obama" with "Trump."

Wash, rinse, repeat. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I've never been against the TPP, and I'm not a liberal. I'm a champion of the American Empire, and do not want to see its demise.

I think of Michael Moore about what I think of you, although I have some respect for him.

This used to be the GOP policy

A Vote Against Trade Is a Vote Against Growth

Since the end of World War II, America’s economic leadership has rested on a philosophy that “the freer the flow of world trade, the stronger the tides of human progress and peace among nations.” Those wise words were spoken exactly 30 years ago by America’s 40th president, Ronald Reagan. The father of America’s modern conservative movement understood that free trade and open markets are key components of conservative economic and political theory because they lead to economic growth and international security. When people and nations trade together, as Reagan’s words remind us, it binds them together and promotes peace.

Now Trump knows better.

Now Trump knows better.

They have sold their souls to an orange demon, and, should the Democrats ever get serious again as a party instead of being identity politics weirdos, they will deliver the most thorough thrashing of another American political party come 2020 that we've ever seen. Will make the GOP victory of 2016 look like merely a footnote.
