Unless A&M gets absolutely trounced by Clemson in Week 2, you can assume that Bama-A&M will be the 2:30.

The only other remotely interesting game is UGA-Mizzou and both of those teams will like be 3-0. So I think it comes down to UT beating WVU, which would mean both UT and UF would go into Week 4 unbeaten. If they are, then UT-UF goes on in primetime. If not, it might be UGA-Mizzou.
Aren’t there two “prime time” slots

Given it is still pretty warm and humid in Knoxville at that time of the year and you have Bama and A&M for the CBS 2:30 game, I would think that night game would be a good call. A lot of this will depend on wins the first couple weeks.

ESPN made it a noon kickoff in 2014. It was also the first Checker Neyland game. If Tennessee were to lose to West Virginia it could easily happen again. Just saying.
We had just gotten crushed by Oklahoma and beat by UGA, and Florida had been beaten pretty bad by Bama.
If we are 2-1 with good showing against WVU and Florida is 3-0 it is tough to put that game at noon... But then again ESPN HATES US

I would settle for the 4pm SEC N game before the noon game -- I dont care to watch Alabama on CBS

Wouldn’t mind 3:30. Time to tailgate before and hit the bars later. I’ll be there! Go Vols!!

There are more than 2, actually, but generally the selection order goes CBS (afternoon) -> ESPN (primetime) -> SECN (noon). From there it's any combination of ESPN2, ESPNU, and SECN in primetime depending on what is happening in other conferences. So, I'm guessing that UT-UF and UGA-Mizzou will be the 2nd and 3rd picks, and the order depends on which teams are 3-0.

Unless CBS sees the better game will be UT/UF and takes that. Tamu Bama will be over before it starts.

Nah, Jimbo Fisher vs Nick Saban is more appealing than Jeremy Pruitt vs Dan Mullin. Plus Bama will most likely be undefeated and ranked #1.

I'm hoping it's a night game. Will be coming in from Kansas City so I would like to enjoy more time tailgating. 3:30 is okay with me but heck it'll still be hot as hell. last year we came in for UGA and it was 3:30. 2016 we came in for the FL game where everyone was dropping like flies in the heat and 2015 we came in for the Oklahoma game and it was perfect. Still had some sun light at kickoff but night game in the second half. 6:00 would be my preference. Nonetheless, i'll be there!

The weather for the OU game was perfect. 2016 Florida was the hottest and most miserable game I've ever been to....the outcome was great though.

It was miserable, I got lucky.I had tickets in the sun and my dad got tickets the night before for seats in the shade. I lost money selling the tickets, but It might have literally saved my life. It was hot. i was there in 2014 when it was so cold I wished the sun would shine in me. Crazy how that works.

There’s no hype around this game so probably going to get stuck on the 7:30 slot.

Really hoping for a night game. Never been to one. I already got tickets but mite have to sell them if it's a 2:30 kick. I was at the 16 FL game, it was so hot that we had to go straight back to the room afterwards bc everyone was so dehydrated and burnt
