Web streaming of games (merged)

I'm in southern middle Tennessee and espn3.com has the game listed with subject to blackout beside it. But the blackout map says it is not subject to blackout in my area. Hopefully this is right. Channelsurfing does not have the game listed.

I was streaming games last year (embedded Justin stream to my own website), but I'd have to pay $35 to watch the UTM game.

checked this morning on espn360 or espn3.com and it says the game will be shown on espn360 in all states except for tenn...where it actually says the game would be shown on local tv but i dont think thats correct i dunno why it would say that on there....i never understood the point of blacking out a game in the home state its just rediculous idea to me...so unfortunatly if u live in state i guess u have to find a bar to watch or it will def be on channelsurfing.net....goodluck to all u lucky folks that actually live in tenn! go get a ticket and watch the game at the stadium anyways! go vols

For those of you in TN with ESPN3 that want to watch the game try this method:

Log on to ESPN and then go to ESPN3 and set it up for remote access.

Download the Hide-My-IP program from here: Hide-My-IP.Com - Hide Your IP Address, Surf Anonymously, and Protect Your Identity
Don't worry about paying for it, there's a 14 day free trial.

Hide your IP address, you may have to turn this off and on a couple of times to find a faster server, I connected to one in Atlanta that had a 19 Mb/sec throughput speed.

Log back on to ESPN and go back to ESPN3 and click on the TN game and you'll find that it's not blocked.

Of course this only for testing purposes, I would never suggest that you circumvent the blackout.:)

I can't remember the name of it but it wasn't channelsurfing or justintv. It wanted you to download it's special player and when you did your computer went haywire and you had to use malwarebytes to clean it out. Beware of a site wanting you to download it's video player.
It was the veetle player or something like that. Guess what, I had forgotton and downloaded it again Thursday night to watch the Utah game. Took me most of yesterday morning to clean all the crap out.

i would try this...but after the virus crap happend last year im a little weary.... has anyone else tryed this? let me know if it works... i have already hooked up my remote access..

I live in southern middle Tennessee. When I looked on espn3.com this morning it said the game was blacked out in Tennessee. If you go to their blackout map it says the game is not subject to the blackout in my area. I guess I will find out later.

when I go to ESPN3, it's showing the whole state of TN being blacked out.

The proxy might not work. ESPN3 is provided if your ISP pays for it. AT&T pays while some cable companies do not. I doubt any proxy are going to pay for ESPN3.

I would suggest finding a local bar or restaurant to watch the game. If you are in Chattanooga several places have the game. If not, ask local business, I have had some that buy the game after several people showed interest. Have several of your friends call a couple of bars and act interested, they might get the hint and order it.

Where at in Chattanooga??

This is how I'm going to watch the game. hide-my-ip is not going to give you a virus. You can always run a virus scan after you install it.

At least for right now Channelsurfing.net/JustinTv doesn't have the game listed, I hope that changes near game time.

I will be streaming it Streaming VOLS games!!!! , but I have to charge to watch it. I had to pay $35, so I could stream it, and I won't even be home to watch it. I'll be watching my own stream... LOL

Of course, I'll be hooking my laptop to a 42" flat panel, so it's not that bad.
