Wealth gap is at critical mass

You're one sidedness is at an all time high, You have become a joke.
Funny how several that claim to be libertarians or moderate Rs or independents spend all their energy bashing Trump yet crickets on the radical dem party

Then you should remove the blinders and pay better attention. You simply see what you want and make up the rest. For example, I've bashed both Obama and Trump on deficits, useless military exercises, govt overreach, etc. How am I inconsistent in my views? Don't go down the road of @Matt2496 and call people hypocrites without backing it up

Maybe the issue is you believe there is a real, discernable difference between the 2 parties. That's cute

Exhibit A

Rs have issues no doubt about it, I have been against many things they have done and not done but compared to the modern left they are damn near perfect. As bad as they have been they don't want to make us a third world s-hole.

Nothing wrong with being wealthy and comfortable, try it, it may grow on you!
Nothing wrong either, with being financially secure and still working one’s tail off to stay that way, into one’s mid-60s and beyond. Pretty much where I am at. Good thing about being a small business owner, nobody can force me to retire.

Wait, you've called out many things the GOP had done? Where did this happen? The right benefits from immigration as much as anyone else. They don't want to fix it yet you continue to believe their hype

Since you have been here posting lately it's complete Trump bashing, crickets on the radical shift by the modern democrat party.

So I’m gonna argue on the military being “socialist”. Yes it’s called out in the Constitution however we are not “taking” from the non military and “giving” to the military. They are not in the capacity as private citizens in their role. They are “employees”. No different than Congress.... ok wait let me back that up yeah they’re all friggin Socialists! 🤬

But you get the point I’m making.
Not really. You seem to be making mine. Still taking and giving

You're simply wrong but I also don't feel the need to comment on absolutely everything done or said. My stances on this board are consistent. Either prove they're not or move along like the other kid did

Consistency isnt necessarily a good thing. You can be consistently wrong. Having consistent reasoning would be better and reasoning requires updating as things change.

The discussion is around govt. They haven't changed so neither has my belief that they suck and are all pretty much the same. My reasons are always consistent

I don't see how my views on debt, war, spying, overreach, immigration, etc need to change. I'm not sure how the party in charge really matters if someone doesn't wear the colored jersey of some party.

If you want them to not be socialist.

Again I am not arguing that it's wrong. Just pointing it out that it is.
No dude. Just no. Unpaid indentured “employees” are slaves. Paying “employees” isn’t socialism. Taking means from individuals and giving the means to other individuals who have provided no goods or services for those means is socialism.

Some debts, war, spying, and immigration items are legit. If you arent constantly reevaluating you are as bad as those who play teams.

Not really. It's taking money from all to provide an equal service to all.

Socialism isnt bad or good. It's another inanimate thing people have attached qualities to that it is incapable of having, like guns.

A group of people decide to get together and equally support each other even if all cant work, is good socialism.

The idea of the military in this nation is good socialism. Roads, FDA and whatever other positives you take from the government are good. But it's not the thing itself that makes it good or bad, it's how they are used.

Louder we just disagree on the bolded being socialism. I call that “paying the bill”. But that’s cool we’re not very far apart here.

Taking my money and giving it to some lazy SOB who’s provided me nothing is socialism to me. Giving that money to military service members with government waste and abuse added on is just piss poor resource management.

I don't think you are a hypocrite at all, I think you are very consistent

How responsible is the government for this wage gap, at least concerning America?

I mean, take away the amount of waste, corruption, and "lost" money that could have been put into how many cities and towns, to establish better schools, schools that were capable of offering the same level of education not void of resources. Imagine every inner city in America with the best public schools imaginable, 99% graduation rates compared to what reality is and has been. How much individual loss in terms of just human capital and opportunity has there been? It's hard to try and quantify that amount of loss.

Imagine local/city and states being able to bring in more companies, maybe, subsidize certain companies in less economically advantaged area's, where better employment and opportunity was afforded a citizenry that found upward mobility, instead of decay and loss of any advantages.

Think about the opportunity loss and cost of American industry that has left domestic manufacturing, that could have been saved by local/city and state governments, let alone federal dollars, that could have made for a much larger, and more productive and financially rewarded middle class.

People crying about a wage gap are trying to paint a complex issue with the widest velcro shoe soft skull helmet wearing dummy of paintbrush stroke dipped in a bucket or stupid to try and gin up some sort of fear.

There are a lot of lazy SOB military members there just pushing paper around or collecting their check.

I've never said they weren't (well except for the ridiculous debt). I've simply stated my personal positions have remained consistent no matter who is in office. Many others on here can't say the same and they know it
