We won’t be..

WhT about any D1 school with a winning record?
And every Power 5 school, regardless of record.. You got yourself a playoff sir!

Seriously - Why did the PAC 12 fold right before we started allowing everyone to make the playoffs and right before we cancel conference champions?

If I were Oregon and USC, I’d go back to owning a smaller conference.

Not sure yet, still have to learn how to wrap up and get on the ground. Haven’t seen much of that around here in quite a few years
We will tackle better because we have a better coach who won’t be putting our players in bad positions with passivity and overthinking resulting in more bad angles.
There was never a logical reason to have our lbs turn and run 12 yards backwards at the snap, 7-8 yards beyond the sticks, then expect them to come up and make a tackle in the open field. And it happened way too often, including safeties 30 yards from the pocket on 3rd and 6.
An aggressive and confident defender put in positions to make plays and not be shocked at every offensive play will help. We will bait teams and know where they are going instead of on our heels every play, or like we saw many times, still looking at the sideline for a call when the ball is snapped.

The answer to your first question----- Money is why the PAC-12 collapsed

Point of reference regarding U$C they won ONE "PAC-12" championship. Below it the list of PAC-12 champions, they are #5 on the list.
Oregon 4
Washington 3
Stanford 3
Utah 2
U$C 1

Finally, Oregon is 17-1 in conference games since joining the BIG 10, why would they want to go to another conference?

I would imagine to avoid traveling to New Jersey and Pennsylvania for conference games and playing their league championship game in Indianapolis.
If you want to be the national champion, you've got to be able a "National" level schedule. If you want to be a "regional" champion, play a "regional" conference schedule.

Funny how in college all the regional champions play for a national championship while the national football league plays for a world championship, isn’t it?

Divisions, conferences, regions.. call it whatever you want. It’s still going to amount to the same thing.
