We need to have a talk about Glen ...

That happens to ever OL in the country as well as every line in the NFL. Everyone gets beat now and then, instead of being negative about our guys, maybe it was just a good play by their guys. Their guys are on scholarship too...
Sure. It's more than now and then though. And there OL in the NFL that are bad. There are also OL in college that are elite. I want the elite ones. I'm looking at the game from more than "offense bad=QB sucks", which is the stance a lot of people like to take.

Pretty sure Karic will be back. Nobody is talking about the fact that he has another (Covid) year, but it’s available. Lance Heard also back. And Umarov.

Bennett Warren, LG III, J. Heard - all giants who will compete at RT.

Satterwhite and Lang competing at C. Wheel be find.
Thank you. This was pretty much what I was thinking, but you just laid it all out there in better detail. I will add, also kids like Perry, Anderson, Ginther, Bussell, who should all be bigger and stronger than they are now. Then there will be a few incoming frosh, who if EE could get into the 2-deep, and we might get a couple more from the portal, but don't need much.

You can’t tell a head coach who is doing 100% better than the last three guys combined that he needs to fire a coach.

Even though I agree the OL play has been pretty mediocre bordering poor and the development is questionable for the younger guys, you cannot tell a coach that’s winning that he needs to fire somebody. It just won’t happen. Even if we lose Sanders it probably wouldn’t be a firing offense.

I will never understand how some people think it’s possible to lead the SEC in rushing with mediocre OL play. Y’all must think Sampson being left off the Doak Walker Award finalist list is the biggest snub in the history of sports!

The pass pro has not been great. If you have good run blocking and poor pass pro, you still average out to mediocre.

I think they have gotten better but they have not been great for most of league play.

I hesitate to weigh in here because I'm admittedly no expert on o-line matters. But I will anyway. It seems to me that the tackles struggled early, primarily in pass protection, but are getting better. I think a lot of that also has to do with Nico being tentative early in the year and taking too long to make decisions. I also don't know how we could have such a strong rushing attack if the line was as horrible as some say. I trust if there's somebody clearly better that CJH could hire, he would.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen enough to be confident in anybody we have returning. Some guys are promising but we've yet to really see if they'll be able to at be as good as the guy they're replacing. Some have potential but haven't played remotely well this year.

I feel like Umarov will be a good one and we'll be ok at C. The rest is a mystery. I'd probably hit the portal hard for good OL more than anything. Then maybe an elite WR if there is one available.
