Campbell was known as a running qb his entire college career until his senior year. And Leak could run also...he just did it less every year as he learned to pass. And all the others had enough moves to make opponents "respect" their running abilities. Im not talking michael vick/vince young, but enough running abilities where they might keep a linebacker home or spy with a safety.
Well then what about Casey Kelley?

Why do we need a mobile QB?? Tee Martin amassed a total of 287 yards in the 98 season for a whole 2.8 yards per rush. We don't need a mobile QB, just one that receivers that con stretch the field more.
Your stats are correct but Tee Martin won us several games with his legs. The Florida game in 98 he scrambled and got us in field goal range in OT.
Yeah, but while he had a strong arm, he was about as accurate as Stevie Wonder at times. He was never what you would call consistent. And not to bring up a whole other old debate, he refused to change his cadence in '99 against Fla.
Tee WAS NOT a very mobile qb but one who could scramble when he had to.
Tee was a very mobile quarterback. He had good wheels.
Tee was just smart enough to understand that he didn't need to tuck it and run for the offense to be successful. He was a good leader, didn't need to be the playmaker on every down, and spread the ball around to his receivers and backs.
