When I've called the cable company about my cable being down, after they ask me if my tv is plugged up they say "well, we'll be out there today between 8am and next Thursday".

Oh I don't work for the cable company haven't since 2009.
I am a designer drafter engineer for telecommunications.

Cool, I'm a sanitary technician engineer for biohazard vision clearance.

For instance I get with a developer and get his design of a development that he is building I take it and get with the power company work out a plan with them for a shared trench or not draft it out in CAD. From there I engineer the best and least cost effective way to get service in the subdivision or apartment or business then I design it over my draft and plan out the terminals grounding and hand holes. Add up the price send the bill and the job to the company and construction builds off my design and engineering and I make sure all is well. There is alot of different jobs also I have designed half a million dollar c.o's that go on easements and regenerate the fiber so it can run another 70kf and I design cabinets and cell towers and small stuff like replace a pole when hit by a car or road moves I have also designed and priced over builds for a city and that is the worst having to draw all the roads and figure that out. But whatever I due when I am told to do it it is due bye a certain time or it's a fine each day late.
