Always a Debbie Downer around:banghead2:

That's a legit concern. His step and 1/2 is not the same as a short person's. Would he need to back up 17 yards(15 is typical).

I've got a way to revolutionize FGs. I don't want to tell any one. I prefer TDs.

A good punter and kicker are as important as a good QB.

Too bad many people do not understand that.

Special teams can make or break a team. Even a great team can lose a lot of games when special teams suck.

Fact of the matter is, if your punter sucks and the other team constantly gets to start on the 30 yard line, you basically just gifted 30 yards to that teams offense. That's a 30 yard play they just picked up. Let that sink in. If you had a defense that gave up 3-4 30 yard plays a game, you'd say that defense sucked. But people do not seem to understand that applies to special teams too.

But if you sink them to the 5-10 yard line 3-4 times a game....you just gifted your defense with like 100-120 more yards to work with every game. That's a big deal. That means their offense has to make that up. 100+ yards a game is difficult to make up.

And a good punter can actually have that much of an effect on a game. Hundreds of yards one way or another.

Good article and video of him punting. Dude's got some hang time.

"As of right now, that brings the total to 21 total 2018 commitments for Tennessee. The Vols had a need at punter with Trevor Daniel set to leave after this season. They appeared to have that need filled with Skyler DeLong earlier this year, but he flipped to Alabama.

Brooks is 6-5, 170 pounds out of South Carolina. He held offers from N.C. State and Wake Forest. Brooks actually ranks ahead of DeLong, according to Kohl’s Kicking Camp’s website."
