We have no chance against any good teams

This years Oklahoma team would go 10-2 at the worst in Tennessee's schedule. @Georgia is a loss, and then probably lose the other to @Ole Miss, Alabama, or @South Carolina. Please "Gauntlet" my ass

The Sooner rather than Laters are the real deal, that's for sure. Their conference has won 7 out of the last 8 NCs and, oh, wait.......

What? The premise of playing "our schedule" would mean OK would play all the SEC competition we are AND since we are playing a top 5 team on the road out of conference( you guys) then scheduling another game on the road against a top 5 team. Perhaps going to Auburn.

If we were to beat Oklahoma it might be the biggest upset in UT history....definitely in recent history.

These next two games are gonna be rough; it's just experience. I mean yea anything can happen but our chances of even being in it with them past halftime are very slim. We gotta get 6 wins but it will not be easy and with the teams we are facing the next couple weeks. I mainly hope we can escape any more serious injuries and for gods sake beat the Gators and scratch to 6-7 wins.

Our time is coming and everything is falling into place the team just has to grow into itself. Most of these kids were in high school last year. It's not like we have a freshman QB we have a SR QB surrounded by inexperienced talent that should grow as the season progresses with the leadership of Worley on offense and AJ on defense.

Plus Ohio State is gettin dat azz whipped! (Had to add that lol)

Well said, it's the truth.

Lol. Since it will never happen, I guess we will never know. Stoops and the team you root for are the kings of underachieving. I think UT is too young to go to Norman and win in a hostile environment. But it wouldn't surprise me if UT pulls off the upset. It's not like Oklahoma hasn't crapped the bed many times before.

We have played two good teams and we beat them both by at least two touchdowns. We haven't played a ranked team yet... but we have seven on our schedule. Not many of these ranked teams would want to play our schedule... with freshmen.

Bend over, I'll get those tonsils out for ya.

Florida and SC are possible wins, but we will need some crazy luck. I just don't know where the sixth win comes from this year.

Mizzu is our best shot if taking all 3 into account. They beat Toledo today but did you see how awful Toledo was? They would only beat Vandy by 28 if they were to play.

You cant make this stuff up....Have your laugh because this and reality TV are about the same....But honestly....We KNEW we were rebuilding our line on both sides of the ball and if you know ANYTHING about this level of football, the Oline has looked about what one should expect (definitely going to need a lot of maturing) but the Dline has actually looked very good...and our overall team speed is HUGELY improved.....But don't judge their improvement based on the game next week...I would love to escape Norman without any major injuries....

Okay.. I used "ROUTE" I stand corrected.... if the Grammar Nazi was not here most NORMAL people would have understood this post.... Obviously you did not, which I am not surprised..... and by the way Bama kicked FLORIDA ATLANTIC'S A$$ by 40+!! I would call that a ROUTE! However the F^ck you pronounce it:crazy:

a route to victory.... as bad as it sux. Buck Fama.. you Twit! Look that up too (not to) and send the meaning.
:rtfm:

My first post was a light hearted attempt at humor. Route and rout are pronounced the same so how the "F" it is pronounced doesn't matter. I saw the same misspelling of the word on the USU board by one of our fans gloating over that victory. :detective:

I don't see the "we have no chance vs any good teams" argument. Last year, a worse UT team barely squeaked one out against mighty S Alabama, then went on to upset a very good USCe team. We have a puncher's chance in most every hard game we play this year, save maybe Bammer and OK. I think we get one this year.

We def. got 4 more wins...UTC, KY, Vandy, Mizzou....worst case scenario...USCe gets us to 7 wins. The streak will end vs. UF. 8 Wins...book it.

Wow im drunk but op you take the cake...did you watch sc game? We are at least going bowling book it!! So sick of neg vols if you wanna be a neg fan go follow candy sure you find something to cry about over there...we play one of the hardest schedules in ncaa!! This team is building after two of the worst coaches ever!! And I give it another year or two we will be running with anyone!!

So after alabama beating west Virginia by 10 and Florida Atlantic by 40+ lets throw in the towel on that game

After south Carolina losing to Texas am and barely beating east Carolina nope no way we win that game

After flordia playing one game against a cupcake wow they are amazing

This is football anyone's game at any given time!!

OK, UGA, AL, and Ole Miss will absolutely stomp a mud hole in us. FL, Mizzou, and USC will beat us solidly.

I think we only win 3 more games this year Chattanooga, Kentucky and Vandy. I'm really disappointed, because I hoped we'd be better this year.

Lol. We are better than last year. Have you seen Worley throw the ball?? Have you seen our receivers?? Legitmate threats. The lines are green and inexperienced. They have nowhere to go really but up. That comes with more game action and reps, which will come from week to week. The two teams we played both won their conferences last year if I'm not mistaken?? They aren't from 'power' conferences but they were decent squads. Take the gun down from your temple and let them play more than two games before you write them off.

I don't know why everyone thinks that we have a better shot against Mizzou than USCe. UCSe has looked very beatable in their first couple of games. Mizzou is still kind of an unknown quantity since they have won a couple of routs against opponents that are not very good. But at the end of the day Mizzou beat us soundly last year. USCe lost to us, and they seem to have regressed significantly from last year while we look to be better than last year. What am I missing?

With that said, I break things down a little differently than you. I would peg our percentage chance of winning our remaining games as follows:

UTC 99.9%
Vandy 95%
UK 90%
USCe 60% (They have looked awful so far!)
Mizzou 50%
UF 40% (Lots of talent, but Muschamp is HC!)
Ole Miss 35%
UGA 30% (We came close in last year.)
Bama 20% (a 4-8 WVU team did compete with them)
OU 15%

Given these probabilities, I think we are likely to finish with 7 or 8 wins with likely wins against UTC, Vandy, and UK; one win against USCe or Mizzou, and one or two wins against UF, Ole Miss, UGA, Bama, and OU.

What a miserable thread! As the elevator's rising upward again, this joker's gotta'cut a fart! This is a young team, junior. Both USU and ASU would beat SCjr, and let's figure the injury bug will take a toll on at least one of our upcoming opponents. Watch these guys get better each week and go bowling......negavol.

Don't think Mizzou is a definite win at all. Like our chances vs SCar with the way they're playing right now, plus we match up well with them. Actually a little concerned with Ky, glad we have them at home. It's payback time vs Pansybilt.....Butch better not call off the dogs til we're up 50 at least.

I'm not sure what's more stupid... this post or that it got 14 likes so far.

ASU is a good team. But more than that they present style problems for P5 schools. No one left on UT's schedule this season will have a QB that runs like ASU's. That means you can do more in pass rush with just 4... which means you can do more in coverage. IIRC, they returned a significant number of players from last year's squad... and UT beat them about as bad as Auburn and Mizzou did last year.

You also have to factor in a young teams that just spent a week reading headlines about how they might be much better than originally thought. Maybe a little over confident?

I don't know how the rest of the season will go... but it is abjectly stupid to say UT has "no chance against any good teams" based on this one game.... Just like it wasn't very bright to believe that UT had arrived based on the USU game.

this.

I see some problems, but I don't think anyone expected a display of perfect football from this team this season.

Back to your condescending arse self I see....

Funny, because I was responding to a condescending post.

The argument that Tennessee won't have problems with Oklahoma's road environment because they see so many tough road environments falls flat when all they have done is lose in those environments.
