We Got Ourselves A Coach

Good job by CDT.

Please leave Martin out of this though. Its annoying. We don't know what would have happened with him coaching. If its more exciting depends on your opinion. We are scoring less and winning with d just like Martin. Its not really much difference between the two.

You are right...only one major difference...one of them actually has a pulse when he is coaching...the other one doesn't.

What is so funny? The comparisons are dumb. We are scoring less and haven't won anymore than Martin did his first year with more returning talent and production tham Martin had. No way we can say for sure who is better at this point.

I agree.....Zo's name doesn't need to be mentioned on the board again....good riddance!!!

Unfortunately (as we've heard ad nauseum)all we have to go on is results on the court...we have a much better coach right now IMO. :)

Yea and one scored more, overachieved each year and went to a Sweet 16 . I hope the other can match that. I could give a damn about the coach jumping around on the sidelines. People blamed Martin's stoic demeanor for foul calls. We now get even more called. So that was wrong. Maybe CDT should calm down some.

He did pull that off though. We were picked bottom of the barrel in the SEC his first year. We beat #13 Final Four team UF, a better team than this Butler team 67-56 . People seem to have very selective memory when it comes to Martin.

He also had two future NBA players (3 if Richardson makes it), experience/continuity of players (in comparison), and size (in comparison).

I saw something I haven't seen in the previous three years. If you didn't, that's fine.

DT is a hands-on, in-your-face, sideline coach. He somehow gets the players to play harder than Zo did. I like DT.

Tennessee has gotten themselves a coach for now. UT will have to find another, probably, when the NCAA delivers their letter.

All I know is I couldn't stand to watch last years team. It was so frustrating. I enjoy watching this bunch. They may not be good but they go Mach 2 with their hair on fire.

I sure would have loved to see CDT "overachieve" with the talent Martin had...honestly the only reason they went Sweet 16 was the kids decided to actually play on their own...had nothing to do with Martin's "magical coaching tour"...really you are right...Martin's name should NEVER be uttered again on this forum...I wish him well as a Golden Bear.

UT needs to put a game with Cal on their future Men's basketball schedules.

No we don't.....the Zo talk in here is already bad enough....Everything we do good is compared to Zo and every time he beats tuckalucka Tech for the armless
...it is brought to this board.....no matter who would win that game then this board would suck for months.
