Correct? CM had the personality of a brick wall . He was never happy here. He's happy to be in California , and most of us are happy he's there's too.

I'm sorry I need results to say Tyndall is better. He walked into a similar situation with similar preseason expectations. If he can do better than Martin did I will say he is better. Results are what matter to me. Not personality or play style. Some of you would be happy to score 85 a game and win 12 or 13 games. Not me. I want wins. When Tyndall wins more he will be better. Martin beat ranked teamsand rivals every year. Sweet 16 last year. When Tyndall beats UF and UK and wins more than projected in the preseason I will say he is as good or better. Y'all can go ahead and lower your standards because you hated Zo. Not me. I liked Pearl, Martin and Tyndall. Pearl was the bestand Martin after him. Tyndall hasn't proven anything yet. That can change by the end of the year.

In all respect to you it seems you really don't get it...everyone respects CDT because he has a shell of a team playing hard while he is under the microscope of the NCAA...this is a makeshift team that upset #15 today...a program with 2 FF's in the last 4 years.

Brad Stevens is gone but Butler has beaten two very good teams this year. Very nice win. Hope this NCAA investigation blows over. That is the elephant in the room.

I do respect that and have said its a great win. I will judge how good he is after a whole season though. We were in pretty much the same spot Martin's first year. We finished way higher than expected. I want Tyndall to do the same or better.

All i ever heard about the last coach was how good of a defense he put on the court... ..i never saw his defense remotely as good as the defense i witnessed today. And, for me, it is damn refreshing to see a Head Coach with emotion and constantly working the refs.

The tourney run last yr was an impressive defensive effort. But I feelya.

I like him too, the only time Martin got UT's players to play up to thier potential was after the petition. Before then, his teams ALWAYS UNDERACHIEVED!

@Ben_Fred Donnie Tyndall hasn't lost a regular-season home game since Southern Miss lost to Memphis on 2/9/13. He's 22-0 since. 3-0 at UT.

Last year team played their hearts out for Martin because they knew he was in hot water.Then they all left, abandoning the program for.Martin.

One former pure starter at the 2 playing 1 much of the time. One former sub that was second off the bench at 3 now starting as an undersized 4. One former sub that was 4th off the bench playing second off the bench as a 4 and 5. One former injured out for the season sub that played a 2 now playing the same as the first or second off the bench. Then a whole bunch of guys from everywhere that didn't know each other until the summer and all want to play together, for each other, and focus for 40 minutes. Just beat #15. Because of CDT.

To compare that in any way to what we saw under Zo is beyond absurd. The same guys that in their best season were one loss from not making the play-in game in the only tourney they made with two NBA draft picks and two other seniors starting. ROTFLMAO!

Huge win against a quality opponent in mid-Dec. When was the last time we beat a ranked team before Jan? It has been awhile. We always had to play catch up at the end of the year under Martin because we hardly ever beat a quality non-conference team before Jan.

Games like this are statement games and say a lot about a coach and how his team is progressing. If you can't see the difference between this team and any of the last three UT teams then you don't really know basketball.

Have to say guy is a helluva coach. We got us a winner in dt. Love the style the intensity. I don't think we are world beaters but we have a chance to win in almost all games

Was jealous the last few years when we would play a less talented team and they would get all coached up and beat us...ala A&M + Vandy last year.
