We got our kicker

A little better percentage in FGs. Not as much range. No as consistent on XPs. That's from the numbers. Looks more like an even swap to me.

Looks like he cost them the Va game and the Clemson game. Didn’t see that he had any game winners last year.

Cooper and Max both got great legs. Maybe change of scenery will be good for both of them. Gotta be one of the most stressful jobs in sports.
Ranvier was solid most of the season. I watched the Clemson game. It was very windy. He missed a 50yd FG wide right in the 4th quarter and was replaced on the next attempt, which was only from 46yd and that one was missed badly by the backup kicker. To me, it seemed like a knee-jerk reaction by Jeff Brohm to replace him. I imagine his confidence was shot by that point and he started to explore other options.

Not every kicker gets the opportunity to take a game winner every season. Ranvier nailed a 49-yarder with 1:13 left to tie the game vs. Virginia and send it to OT. I'll trust him until he gives us a reason not to.

Yes sir he most certainly did.
I will never get over the Georgia co worker that Monday saying ever so condescending and empathetic ..’y’alls kicker let you down’ 😂 that was rough… we were so close to beating them!
Max didn't lose us 3 games. Get real
It’s a lot to put on one person, but technically it is the truth, but it isn’t nice to say, I will agree with you there lol

Hate to be Mrs Captain Obvious, but they wouldn’t have even had to go to OT had he kicked the goal in the first place lol … side note, my era was Jeff Hall so my expectations are high lol
He didnt win the game for them but he didnt lose it. That was the point. They lost it as a team in OT. He gets plenty of blame but to say "he lost 3 games" like I've seen a lot is too much blame. You cant say "oh he missed a kick in a close game therefore he lost it". Did he lose them the game because of missing a kick against illinois when the defense let them march all the way down field for a chip shot? They probably would've scored a TD even had they made it.

I dont mind the criticism but it feels like cope. Tenn kinda sucked this year and putting all that blame on Gilbert is just peoples way of pretending they didnt.
