We can beat Mississippi St.

No math needed, Auburn has the best d line in the country, Tennessee doesn't.
Then why did you insert "math" by claiming that 118 vs Auburn meant 225 vs UT? You gave a conclusion and Fade wants to know how you came up with it.... so do I.

I posted some numbers earlier that showed UT had better run D numbers vs UF than Auburn did. I doubt anyone here is delusional enough to believe those numbers stand alone. It was a different kind of game. UT was in a hole early because the offense was paralyzed by poor QB play. UF pretty much did what they wanted throwing the ball.

All that said, UT played the run well even early before the game began to get away from them.

I don't expect UT to limit MSU like Auburn did. But I expect them to be better than UK was.

Anyone who compares what Auburn did to them is crazy. AU has the best d line in the country and one of the best defenses. UT doesn't. UT's def looks slow and out of position consistently. The 225 was a tongue in cheek remark, I have no idea how many yards they will give up but I guarantee it will be more than AU did and likely by a large margin.

So you are "guaranteeing" a future result that you have no means of influencing? That's interesting.

There is a statistical comparison to be made... because the statistics are available. I don't think stats accurately reflect everything without context. But MSU isn't UF or UGA. Their run game isn't in the same category as UGA's. They're 11th to UT's 13th in total O so far this year. So you making these ironclad pre-conclusions... is "crazy". Maybe UT might perform better against a lesser opponent?

We are doomed, 1-11 season is here. Get a Coach that can recruit and develop talent. Pruitt couldn't coach up a team to win against a decent high school team. Although a win would be nice !

I believe we can and will win this game. It isn’t based on math or statistics, I just really want to feel positive about a VOLS game after a brutal start to the season. There ya go, “feelings”.

Call Dano, tell him to book it.

Great call.

MSU has a RB Hill that averages 120 yards a game rushing. That’s 20 better than the next RB. He statistically leads in almost every category. Our run def is pretty bad. That’s not a good match up for us. So those thinking this is a pretty even matchup need to take of the glasses and look again. Can we win? Sure but we aren’t even.
Another good call.

Nailed it

I'm surprised that UT held them as well as they did. But I did argue that they had a chance to play much better than several of these guys were completely certain of.
Then discuss it, instead of just looking like an ass. All of us can do that with no effort.

Did discuss it. Want to see "asses" check the pre-game comments from the guys I just reminded.
What, so stating facts before this game makes me an ass? Our run def was bad prior to tonight. Can’t deny that.

Oh how I wish ban bets were still a thing.
