feel excited......prepare to watch our team compete. yeah, it hasnt been the year we all expected, but regardless its a chance to watch our team play one more time before a long offseason.
Its extremely hard to be excited... we sucked this year. We are probably gonna suck next year. We are in the same tier as vandy and the administration obviously doesn't care.

Watching pruitt coach a game is like watching an ill informed shovel attempt to write a book about the history and use WW2 naval warships and why they smell good. The answer is no.

Here's what will tick me off; if we lose close and look decent or somehow actually win, this place will have so many flip right back to "Pruitt is turning it around!". Just like after the Vandy game.

The '8-win streak' people will have to console themselves with "ended the season strong".

Mizzou, SC, and Vandy. In a normal year......that's good enough to go to a bowl. IDK why people think we shouldn't because we played more SEC games and no OOC cupcakes like normal. And I dont want to hear "with JG starting, we would've lost those games anyways". Nobody knows for sure.
Which of the 7 DOUBLE DIGIT losses do you feel best about?

Oh great, here we go again with the true fan BS.

A true fan does support their team and doesn't want them to lose. Hoping for UT to lose isn't going to all of the sudden make UT great again. Hasn't the last 12 years taught any of you NEGA VOLS anything? How about hoping Pruitt rights the ship, goes 7-3 next year, and wins the SEC in 2022?

There is a difference in competing and just participating. Tennessee participates but they haven’t competed in some time. One 8 loss season in the programs history should be enough for anyone. The bowl loss will make it 2 in 3 years

OOC cupcakes like GA St and BYU?

as a true fan....any opportunity to watch my team play i want in on.

That's fair.

But they more than likely get destroyed this game.
What happens when Pruitt loses to a West Virginia in year 3 that is worse than the one he lost two in year 1?

Why do you support him? Other than "he is our coach". How are you confident in him at THIS point?

Covid... That's what Pruitt's diehard fans will say is the reason if we lose to WVU, but if we win, it will be because Pruitt is a defensive-guru head coach.

Didn't you just make a thread last week that we were beating TAMU?

Most of the NegaVols know next to nothing about football. They shoot their mouths off and get butt hurt when they’re continually wrong.

Bend over and grab your ankles. Thank you sir may I have another. Your expectations have sunk to an all time low. This is some of the worst football ever played in Neyland or anywhere else. All other teams had to deal with the same obstacles we had but we failed miserably. We have now been conditioned to expect to lose and have had no reason to change our expectations because no one with the power to correct this atrocity is doing a damn thing about it.

What you said Hoss. I can't bear another another beatdown. I'm not a masochist.
STOP watching for now. It really is that simple. I understand where you are coming from. I don't like losing anymore than I like logging in here and hearing people that couldn't coach their own kids much less an SEC team to success. But, here I am. The sad thing is Pruitt is still our coach and will be next year. I am not sure he wants to be here anymore than some of us want him to be here. If he doesn't turn things around, I pray the next guy will. But, in all honestly, I don't believe any ELITE coach would take the job.

I don’t think anyone is happy.

I think some want him gone (I agree).

And some think, is it a better thing to give him another year or so and cross their fingers (even if they don’t necessarily believe) because...

A. What if.....he can actually turn it around. What if....a new Qb with a full spring and no COVID mess makes the difference. What if....another year of his recruits and staff changes. What if, what if, what if.

B. They don’t trust that a better hire will be made.

I guess only a "Nega Vol" would find 12 yrs. disappointment a negative, probably as much as a only a "Sunshine Pumper" could hope Pruitt rights the ship after no evidence of that happening and wanting to stay the course.
