We beat

Mizzou, SC, and Vandy. In a normal year......that's good enough to go to a bowl. IDK why people think we shouldn't because we played more SEC games and no OOC cupcakes like normal. And I don't want to hear "with JG starting, we would've lost those games anyways". Nobody knows for sure.
With JG it gives us the best chance of winning. I lost all hope with pruitt quoting that all season. fulmer should pay back pruitts raise. If pruitt really thinks jg was the best option. he needs to go and so does Fulmer.

1. I'm going to watch the garbage bowl game, even though I shouldn't, and it will likely end ugly for the Vols. I do sincerely hope they Vols win and win big. Why? See point 2.
2. Win or lose, Pruitt will not be fired this season (jut my experience talking, no inside info).
3. There will be some minor NCAA infractions found regarding impermissible benefits, but nothing major (again, just experience talking).
4. The real question will be what is the minimum the AD, University leadership and boosters will accept next season? 5 wins? 6 Wins?

It's funny that you can go back to halftime of the Georgia game and this place was ready to crown us. And then we don't win another game until Vandy.

The 1st part of the season was fool’s gold, same as the end of last year. The halftime score of UGA looked close b/c they snapped the ball 30 yards into their own end zone and we fell on it. Also UGA had a walk on QB starting due to Covid and injuries.

We lost 4 games to Top 10 teams, and in Dabo's final vote, those teams were all in his top 6 (Alabama, A&M, Fl, and Ga). Those can be expected. The losses to Arkansas and Kentucky are the bad ones. The one to Auburn wasn't entirely unexpected. Going into the season, I thought we could win 4 of the 6 between Auburn, Ark, Ky, Vandy, SC, and Mizzou. We won 3.

I really wish the handful of pumpers would just stop with this rah rah ********. No one besides the ten of you are excited about this ****** team and the program's direction

NONE OF THE SUNSHINE PUMPERS are satisfied with a team that isn't in the hunt for the SECE AT LEAST every other year!!! Unfortunately, we live in a cynical and NEGATIVE WORLD. That doesn't mean everyone has to join all of you NEGATIVE AZZ PEOPLE!!! No one on this board is going to right the ship of UT football. Everyone has a right to their opinions whether they are positive or negative. But, all the negativity doesn't do the program any good. I think most here would rather read something positive to feel good about the situation. Even though, we all know UT football has been atrocious for more than 12 years. No one on the board needs all of you negative people telling us how bad it is or has been. WE ALL KNOW!!!

Of course they know for sure, the NegaVols are the greatest sports mob ever, they without a doubt think that they know what is best for the Vols.

Watching pruitt coach a game is like watching an ill informed shovel attempt to write a book about the history and use WW2 naval warships and why they smell good. The answer is no.

It’s like watching a toddler play chess against a world champion. And then explain the match afterwards.

As a true fan I can't bear to witness another curbstomping. Seriously have you watched us play this season?
Agree, I’m not up for another embarrassment and how many times the announcers broadcast our abysmal record through the course of the game. Enough already!

How has all of that positivity worked for you?

And we don’t need all of you telling us how great it is either! Because that is delusion.

Oklahoma definitely wouldn’t been a cupcake, plus I don’t think we have automatic wins with “cupcakes”. GaSt says remember us!

OP is right, in a normal year, we wouldn't have lost to two OOC cupcakes like BYU and GaSt.

You thought JG was best for us all because Pruitt said so and in true pumper fashion you towed the line just cause the guy wears orange. You are exactly like the NegaVols you think you are better than, except you confuse your complacency with valor.

I was thinking about this thread and this season was the perfect barometer of where the program is. We took out all the cup cakes, not sure they are cupcakes anymire after last year but anyway. So we played 10 teams that we should match up with on some competitive level after 3 years of "solid coaching and recruiting." The result was 3-7 , with all loses by double digits. If you compare the teams we did beat, their performance against good teams is awful.

Not good.

Any Conf with 14 teams should play at least 9/10 Conf teams a year anyway.

And I remember after the UK game so many said UK was a good team.

If we played Mizzou later they would’ve beat us, USC and Vandy will both have a new coach this year but luckily Pruitts record against a first year Arkansas coach with a team the went 0-8 in SEC play back to back years is great so we have that going for us. Oh yeah and our OOC games are easily winnable because of Pruitts record against greats like GSU and BYU.

We’ll be lucky if we get to 6-6 next year with Pruitt.
