We are really good

don't think that logic is very solid
Having continuity on the OL is vital. They have to learn to play together as a unit. Shuffling players around on the OL has been one of Pruitts biggest blunders from day 1, and it showed tonight with -2 yards rushing into the second half.

Idiots like you are the reason we ended up with Pruitt, Dooley, Butch, Kiffin, and why those embarrassing Gruden rumors ever existed.

I don't 100% disagree, but at a minimum, we didn't know if Trey Smith would be cleared or not, so we were going to have some shuffling on the OL no matter what if we was cleared or wasn't

lol, that once again makes no logical sense. so to also use no logical sense, I'll respond back to you with your quote - "Idiots like you are the reason we ended up with Pruitt, Dooley, Butch, Kiffin, and why those embarrassing Gruden rumors ever existed."

dumbass

Letting the Trey Smith BS go on is another Pruitt mistake. As soon as it was questionable if he could play a game, let alone a whole season, Trey should have been moved to 3rd string and left there until cured.. It’s been a huge distraction and has been another factor harming OL progress.

It’s clear you’re low IQ or possibly challenged, so I won’t reply to your reply of my reply.

The whole 'Fire Pruitt - this team sucks' mantra just drove me crazy. So we lost to GA St. Was it a bad loss - yes. Was it the worst loss in program history - maybe. Were we the better team - probably. The truth is, we lost. Did anyone watch Kentucky basketball last night against Evansville? Sometimes the better team loses. Did we lose against BYU - yes. We had them beat, but let them hang around and in one mental lapse we let them back in and they won in 2OT. 0-2 instead of 2-0 - just like that. Was it the end of the world? No. It wasn't even the end of the season. This team has a pretty good chance to go to a bowl game this year, which after week two I thought was going to be tough. It has been, but they have toughed it out. Good for the team and good for us fans, too. I believe I agree with Pruitt. This team is really good. One of these games we are going to see just how good. GO VOLS!

I'll say this.
There is a considerable amount of talent on this time. And I think Pruitt more or less has found every player a home, positionally speaking.

Every level, offense and defense, we have playmakers. And DLine is the just by average the biggest we've ever had.

Simple offense. Screens. dump passes. Deep passes. Speed sweeps TE seem. Fade balls and counter runs. Depending on the QB, we're anywhere from a 7-5 to 11-1 team.

Bama still has Saban and Tua, so no beating them. Maybe 2nd go around?

We held Bama to 7 offensive points the second half of our game with them this year.

Don't you hate when people ask a question and then answer it? Yes. I do.

The very vocal and irritating fire the coach people have no clue about coaching and yet they are such experts on the subject and won’t even entertain debate. At the beginning of the season we fielded almost an entire team that had not taken a meaningful game snap. The players had to learn how to play, the coaches had to learn who could do what, and you don’t find these things out in practice. And add to this a QB who panicked after the first game and tried to do too much and be the hero, and you had the perfect storm.

As far as the bad start, I think it will be a good thing in the long run. Fact is, pain and hardship separates quitters from getters. The character the team is now displaying is likely a result of the trial by fire in the beginning.

The obnoxiously negative ones take themselves and there football knowledge to serious, probably mostly concerned about having to eat their words and the team winning is secondary. If you can’t be happy and optimistic about what has happened over the past month, you got issues.

Most fans are not that way. It’s fun to talk and debate but don’t make the mistake of taking oneself to seriously.

At Tennessee we have great fans, at least 90,000 or so. I get together with them 8 or 9 times a year.

Coach Pruitt said on vol calls: "you know, I think we are really good. It sounds crazy but you see it." I don't think coach Pruitt makes up nonsense just to hear himself talk. I think if he says the team is really good then he truly believes they are really good. This is a man who has coached some really good teams and I'm certain he knows what a really good team looks like. I'll hang up and listen.

Don't read too much into this, Boogs. It's what we, the fanbase want to hear. I think it is mainly true but we aren't at jubilee junction yet.

1-11 as floor lmao

I guess you missed this part of my post:

and I really cannot find 4 wins after what I saw today.

But looking back at your post...you do get kudos for being as accurate as you were. We have already hit your floor, but won't get to your ceiling, so you were right.on.target.

Nope we aren’t a really good team, just average. But hey that’s a big improvement, especially if we get to a bowl game. We really need to do much better in recruiting this year and in the future.

Another Grudenhaslanded and @08Vol mistake.

I thought we’d be 1-11 after BYU. It looked like half the guys gave up and the other half lacked the talent to fill the gap.

Something sparked enough players to start competing and I assume it’s Pruitt. Hopefully these guys pull off an 8-5 after a quality bowl win.

Read somewhere that UT has given up a combined 21 points in the second half in it's last 5 games. I have not confirmed this but that is exciting. Our Defense will be great soon. With better QB play we have at least 2 extra wins instead of losses this year. I am starting to believe this team actually is pretty good with a bright future.
