Lose a lot at WR and LB. DL depth is best it's been in years.
Should be enough there to take the next step.

Where Crouch plays will be interesting. He’ll start somewhere. Where depends on how others develop. He’s more natural at OLB. If Peterson and/or Beasley develop at ILB (or Banks returns), Crouch is at OLB. If not, he’s at ILB.

I actually feel good about our WRs. Gibbs, Keyton, Palmer, Johnson, and Tillman should be a good group.

I changed a few players here and there but i think you where close. I only changed a few on WR and i think Eason and French will be in the 2 deep at MLB. I think your not going to be able to leave Keyshawn out of the 2 deep at Safety. And I am betting our 2 juco CB's will be in the 2 deep as well. I pray they put Buchanan at STAR because IMO he is not an elite CB. And i hope Chandler stays with us as we should have a very good Back Field with Hodge coming in. And i am going to say it again we are lacking an elite SAM OLB. That to me is what this defense is missing. Someone who can put on a pass rush.

Good line-up prediction. I think QB, TE, and RB are the real question marks here. Does Bailey compete for that starting spot or does he red-shirt? Does Chandler stay or transfer? Do we land Washington? (If not, our TE group sucks again).

Hopefully our worst QB won't be the starter next year. We will need to score more than 21 points a game.

Guarantano will be good next year. It will be the first time in his 5-year career that he'll have the same OC from one year to the next. He's been catching on to Chaney's system in the last 5 games and he'll continue to do so over the offseason.

He still won't be able to throw the deep ball effectively. No leading of the receiver. It will all be rootypoot back shoulder or 50/50 balls.

No deep ball, no stretching the field. No stretching the field, and a host of other problems make themselves known.

If he still can't lead the receiver on deep balls after three years, he won't be able to next year either.

Don't underestimate 2 years with the same OC. The main issue with JG has always been being late with the ball. When he's on-time, he's accurate.

I'm just curious how you think he'll suddenly develop arm strength that he's never had before. He's an upperclassman.

Arm strength has never been an issue. In fact, many have criticized him (sometimes fairly) for throwing too hard. His problem, especially in playaction, is letting the ball go. You can't come out of the fake, hop two times, then throw because your receivers are 60 yards downfield. Of course, it's an underthrow. He's gotten better about it, but he simply has to get his head around, trust his presnap and let the ball go ... in rhythm.

His slants, crossing routes, posts, and out routes are 100 times better than the first 4 games of the season. Really nice timing and accuracy.

His problem with swing passes is really baffling, but sometimes it seemed like Chandler was too far behind the LOS.

,

I'm with you, worry about strecthing the field and inconsistent QB play.
JG's throws to DWA and JJ earlier in the year wide open crucial misses, were way off the marks and unexplainable. No matter how many OC's you have had should not matter, those were HS throws.
Then we thought JG turned the corner at Missouri.
Then his 0 for 8 start with a interception start against Vandy gives you cause for pause. Thx heavens it was Vandy & E Gray had gret running game.
The word inconsistent rings a bell, that's why the team will rise or fall with QB play

Pretty Solid Assessment OP. My Callouts:

- If the NCCA let's us start 13 players on offense we will be pretty good
- I would expect Juco CB Green to be in the mix at CB early
- Burrell > Taylor at CB
- If Gooden returns healthy, I expect him to battle at NT
- Peterson at LB will be ahead of the incoming Freshmen
- TE -> Even if we landed Washington, it will be hard for him to get on the field early at TE (Blocking)

Taylor is one of the best CBs in the conference, Burrell is nowhere close to the talent of Taylor or Thompson.
