Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

Doesn’t deserve a like. Sorry Behr. My numbers aren’t awful the last seven days, but I don’t feel like they’re accurate.

I worked 5 out of 6 days 12 hour overnights last week due to the Middle East stuff. Ended last Friday. Slept like a rock Friday and Saturday night and way over too. 10.5 hours both nights. And it’s felt like crap since. I wake up a lot throughout the night and struggle getting back to sleep. But my watch makes me think I slept decently (in the 70s). I don’t get it. The awake times typically don’t even show up on the timeline.
This didn't deserve a like Bill and I really didn't have a comment but wanted you to know I saw it. So I gave you an acknowledgement like.

By saying it didn’t deserve a like I meant the situation sucked. Hopefully you find that rhythm you had and get back to better night’s sleep

Don't encourage his good sleep habits, at least til we figure out how to do it too.

Is there an age limit to join?
Find the right recruiter and they can probably pull some tricks to get you in. Basic will wreck your sleep though before you get the chance to get a prescription. Took me about 8 years after my deployment wrecked my sleep to finally get medicine for it. And even then it was accidental

One thing I started doing back in February that was hard getting used to.

I sleep with my room cold. Last night when I went to bed at 9:30 it was 66.7°. When I woke up at 5:15 it was 65.0°.

I sleep with just a flannel cover sheet as my cover. That's it.

Instinctively I want to "crawl under the covers and get warm" and that's what I was doing, but that defeats the purpose.

If I eat and drink what I should, exercise like I should and get in the bed when I should my sleep numbers are right where I like them to be.

If it were that simple. Lol.

I look forward to the update thats now in beta, hopefully get it next month. It will have Smart Alarm. Ideally it would have waited until I finished the REM cycle before waking me this morning.

I think both watches that Volley and HBPW have came with it.

I did read mine has that, but I could only use it 2 days a week cause I have a very specific routine the other five.

My biggest thing is actually getting to sleep. The best score I've ever had was this past Thursday. 81!!! Followed by 55 and 53. 😂

Try it those 2 days. I mean, if it works those 2 days that 2 days better sleep is better than nothing. Jmo.

I tried melatonin and loved it but didn't care for the dreams so I stopped. Kept reading about it and decided to try a different brand and dosage. I take a cherry flavored that dissolves in a few seconds 30 minutes before bed.

I still have the dreams but, I’ve gotten used to them and most of the time they don't affect me, if that makes sense, but when they do I have to adjust the dosage.

Point is, I consistently fall asleep almost immediately after laying down and I credit the melatonin..... and peace of mind I've obtained through my spiritual change. Thats a whole different story
Lol.

Lol.

Hubby can go to sleep as soon as he lays down. It's got to be a man thing.

Falling asleep isn’t my problem. I can usually be asleep in under five minutes after closing my eyes. I can’t stay asleep without the doxepine at 10mg

Felt like last night’s sleep was better than the past week, but again my charts (which for so long seemed so accurate) tell a completely different story. Very little deep sleep and no REM. Not to mention I woke up very very briefly around 6 and it considers that when I woke up. Didn’t actually wake up until about 7:30

For that price might as well try.

Skechers has straight copied Ons for those that feel even the $150ish price range is too much
Watch said I needed rest today but I felt like a run. Ran/walked/sprinted 6.43 miles. I feel good but....

Welp guess your sleeping till Sunday.

Mine will tell me similar recovery times when I do bike rides longer than 25-30 miles

Like you today, I normally do it on days it either recommends something light or a rest day.

I felt good yesterday and it recommended a rest day so I listened. Did a 2.5 mile run tonight which was a little longer than it recommended but I was dying. Oh well. A crappy workout is better than not doing one

I read that recovery hours are how many hours you should wait to workout like you did to get to those hours.

When I started today my Rec hours was 40 all from yesterday. I power walked today 3 miles and it actually went down to 39. But when I started doing the sprints and the run and got my HR up to 170 thats when the other 56 kicked in.

Tomorrow I could walk 4 or 5 miles and be fine, but its hard to just walk and not do at least a few sprints and a mile run nowadays. Id rather just not do anything. But I don't like doing that. Lol.

I just think it’s awesome you’ve come so far. Just keep proving the watch wrong

Thats the thing, I believe Id do better overall if I paid more attention to it. I think Id feel better right now if I had just walked that 6 miles today and then did tomorrow what I did today instead of the other way around.

All that said, I know me and I wouldn't be doing any of it without the watch. It keeps me motivated.

I hit reply too quick.

Good chance my stress tonight is going to screw with my sleep tonight and I could be tired enough to not feel like doing anything tomorrow.
