only immediate guess is it might due to specific faces. but that’s a total guess. I’m off to try to mow before the rain comes
FYI you can change these settings on the watch itself. That Solved 2 issues and I think I figured the other one ououtIll see in the morning.

I like it, but the battery life is lacking a little. Probably getting drained from all the gif mining work I do on it.
Yeah, battery sucks on all Samsung watches. I charged my every night at the same time.

If in frustration you punch your hand while wearing an Apple Watch, it’ll ask you if you’ve fallen, which might make you even more frustrated 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hope you're enjoying your watch Bill. I'm having 2 issues. 1 that I'll figure out as I'm sure I'm missing something, but the other is a deal breaker if I can't get it fixed. I'm joining the Beta program this morning to see if the new update they haven't released to everyone yet fixes it. If not I'll at least have access to a forum where my comments will be noticed by Garmin.

Which one is the deal-breaker? (lost track)

Gesture during activities. Most aggravating thing I've experienced with a watch. Added frustration now because I've figured some other things out that have me liking it more, like the battery. I'm going on 4 days and over 3 hours of GPS use and still have 61% battery.

Blah blah blah. Pisses me off.

Oh, meaning that the face lights up/ brightens up when you don’t need or want it to? Or the finger-thumb touch etc as a shortcut to bypass the usual controls?

If so, I probably need to do the same on my watch. Apple Watch 8’s are ludicrously battery-impaired. Do you have the equivalent of Accessibility on your Garmin? Don’t know if that’s involved with your situation.

During an activity I have it set for AOD (Always On Display) and Gesture (light up the screen to full Brightness when I raise my arm to look at the watch. When my arm is down and beside me it is on but dim. It's supposed to go to full bright when I raise my arm. It doesn't about half the time.

If I turn off AOD and leave Gesture ON it doesn't come on at all. Well, maybe 1 out of 10 tries.

Whenever it doesn't work I can touch the screen to wake it fully.

It works fine in General use, it's only an issue during my running.

Well, that would drive me bananas. Either work 100% of the time or 0%, no “maybe” setting.

Good luck.

Well, YEAH!! Lol.

I guess Bill is busy building a Lego girlfriend and ain't got time for this crap. He probably has gesture turned off on his to keep it from blowing up going on and off repeatedly multipletimes...if you know what I mean. Lulz.

8 miles this morning and errthang worked seamlessly. Not sure if it was the beta program download, a download that may or may not have been installed overnight and used 10% of the battery, the changes I made yesterday or all the above, but I ain't stressing nomo.

Think I'll keep it.

Things have changed on the Low Aerobic/High Aerobic/Anaerobic scale that I haven't figured out yet. I don't think it's the watch though. Anyway, it's all good. Hope errbody else is enjoying theirs as much as I am. I don't mind having issues like this as long as I can get them figured out.

I know NGAF. Lulz.
