Garner is getting near retirement. But I heard he was over the Banks experience. I also heard Garner was wanting to go back to Auburn before it wasn't possible.

Not a bogus conference, but it varies from year to year. Your are always going to have your gifted 3 or 4 - OSU, Oregon, Indiana or Penn St or Michigan. Schedules vary you are always going have the remaining teams that fight for the bottom half. This is just what it is. Schedules are not balance and the Big 10 is a facade. What team out of the remainder have rising out of the bottom to challenge. PSU Chaos this year will drop them into the lower tier.
The SEC with less teams always has several NC contenders. It is a mess.

Honestly doubt that matters in bowl game. It may matter if they were in the playoffs. That interview didn’t sound good if I was a Washington fan. He said. “Right now” 3 times and answered will you be back in 2026 with a “hope so.” lol

I think any new DC would be making a big mistake not to keep Chop and Garner if they want to stay. Not sure about Inge coaching but read where he is an ace recruiter so probably a good keep to. I'm sure Heuple will have some input on the D staff.

I'd say Jim Knowles would be the best option in the country. He is 60 years old, though, so who knows how much longer he will want to coach. He also has an indirect tie to Tennessee as he worked for Cutcliffe for several years, albeit at Duke. That said, I am more than happy if it is Walters.
