War in Ukraine

‘We’ll lay down our souls and bodies to attain our freedom’: Defiant Ukrainian holds back tears as she Sings National Anthem whilst cleaning rubble out of bombed home

This is the moment a defiant Ukrainian woman held back tears as she sang the national anthem whilst cleaning rubble out of her bomb-stricken home.

Oksana Gulenko's home was among the 33 civilian sites bombed by Russia in its assault on Ukraine over the last 24 hours, despite Moscow saying it would only strike military targets.

Filmed from inside her devastated apartment, a video shows Oksana calmly clearing her home of rubble while singing her country's national anthem, titled (in English) 'Glory and Freedom of Ukraine Has not yet Perished'.

I imagine all of that can be distilled into a picture of how much “traffic” a poster is generating.

I also imagine that EL generates a lot of “traffic” with their behavior on here - and that is exactly why Frank lets him stay.

I hope everyone of those Chechen Aholes takes an AK47 round to the forehead.
Chechens are the worst. Here I was thinking Putin hated them too. I was seriously misinformed, the few Russians I’ve known absolutely loathed the Chechens because they are Islamic weirdo terrorist

This is from a friend:

I have a dear friend in Russia ( we've been friends since we were 14). I asked her Russia's thought and how the news it's being shared over there. The following are her thoughts for which you can take as you will. I just think its interesting that it's COMPLETELY the opposite of our media narrative.:

They feel that Ukrainian election was tampered with by the west and that its not truely an independent nation but more so one that WE have taken over and have puppet leadership in place that favors US and European interests. She says thousand upon thousands of refugees from Ukraine have fled into Russia to escape violence (some because Ukraine was persecuting them and killing its people, especially Russian ). She says Russia sees NATO has an institution that overthrows regimes and it was about to exert more control over Ukraine so "they didn't have a choice".

She acknowledges that Russia is not a democracy and people are not allow much freedom of speech, but she also says that other democratic nations are an illusion and people have been tricked into thinking they are democratic.

You don't think it happens?

I would guarantee that the notorious Kevin Mitnick has been paid by the United States government to hack our adversaries. Mitnick has basically acknowledged doing it (after he got out of jail for hacking into NORAD), but he can't go into specifics. It happens. That guy can hack into damn near anything.

Yeah but I just think it's rich those around her campaign are being investigated for hacking, spying and she suggests people do this out loud. She is a former Secretary of State.

That’s exactly why we should mind our own business . The European countries do not want or need our input that only want to use our big ass hammer when they feel like they are in danger , as soon as the threat is over then they go back to looking down im their noses at us .

Correct, I actually think he should threaten to invade Eastern Europe to call their bluff. They are feckless and need to lie in the bed they have made

You can call Trump's words his own personal observation if you like, but you still have a former American President praising the stated justification from an authoritarian ruler for an unprovoked attack on an American ally. If Trump wanted to be critical of the Biden administration? Great. Have at it. Trump did not have to praise Putin in order to be critical of Biden and Harris. It was inappropriate and weird coming from a former President.
Wow...you are a thick mother******...enjoy hyper inflation, and world chaos dip💩.

I am not sure if we tried to tamper with the Ukrainian government or not but based on how the Ukrainian people and military is reacting to the conflict, I think the Ukrainian government had a lot of legitimacy and love from its people. That is where your friend from Russia or the Putin apologists cannot argue.

If it truly was a false regime, Ukrainians would not be responded to be trying to defend their government.

Of course our media narrative is not the truth...and not just with this.

That is rich coming from a citizen who’s country has been manipulating elections for 20+ years to elect a psychopath.

If I was a "thick mother******", who didn't know anything about economics, I would probably think that the out-of-control deficit spending done under the Trump administration, has nothing to do with the historic inflation that we are seeing. (which is what you apparently think)

"By the way, this never would have happened with us. Had I been in office, not even thinkable. This would never have happened. But here’s a guy that says, you know, “I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent,” he used the word “independent,” “and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.” You gotta say that’s pretty savvy. And you know what the response was from Biden? There was no response. They didn’t have one for that. No, it’s very sad. Very sad."

Again, selective editing and teleprompter reading with conviction and a touch of sarcasm getting many in the emotional feels.

Why did you go exposing the truth? You know the fake outrage is more important.

Would presume military flights are unrecorded.

Some are and some aren't. Fighters almost never show up. Reconnaissance aircraft, tankers, and even B-52s show up some of the time and then disappear into thin air. Cargo aircraft seem to show up most of the time. I've seen other RC-135 variants like Cobra Ball fly into and out of Kadena (Okinawa) and then disappear - I think you can presume off the Chinese coast. Over the US most trainers including T-38s show up, and there are a ton of C-130 variants in the air at any time it seems. I even saw a U-2 over CA once. British Tornados show up from time to time - looks like exercises off the British coast. Can't ever recall seeing Russian or Chinese military aircraft. I like to keep an eye on Okinawa because I liked the time I spent there - the Japanese F-15s and patrol planes flying from Naha are clearly visible on the webcams but never show up on radar. Likewise other than cargo flights, you never see fighters or most other aircraft fly in or out of Kadena (our AF Base on Okinawa).
