I think the most important scene involved WHAT was whispered by the Doctor into the sheriffs ear? I don't think it was anything related to the blood work he did on everyone (may be wrong). I think it was more.......

I also thought he said someone was pregnant, maybe his wife.

Nope. Not once. Probably the largest hole I can think of.

That's not a plot hole. It's merely something not explained, which it wasn't (or hasn't been explained yet) in the comics. Plus it's not like this is a new thing, the zombie outbreak in Night of the Living Dead was never explained either.

That's what I bet it was, since it happened in the comics. I'm guessing it will all end the same way as well.
