yeah but the recruiting cycle for 2026 is early on. the heavy hitters haven't even entered the top of the rankings yet but they will.... by 3 schools, he is getting out-recruited. There was no discernible difference between Tennessee's class of 2025 and that of LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M and Florida's.
last year Heupel had the 8th best class in the SEC alone and 11th over all. they also were 8th in the SEC 2024 and 6th in 2023 and 9th in 2022.
history says he isn't getting it done. you can have opinions about average player rankings etc but this is flat out undeniable.
as I said earlier we won't recruit an an elite level until Heupel takes the players he has and runs the table in the SEC. he needs to become the alpha dog of the conference.
