From a national perspective, it doesn't compare since Vandy hasn't been nationally relevant in football in 75 years.

From a talent standpoint perspective, Appy State was a top 3 FCS (1-AA program). No offense to ETSU, they aren't considered an elite or even a good FCS team. And Appy barely won, ETSU curbstomped Vandy
