Appy and ETSU are old rivals actually. But yeah, they aren't in the same league as Appy back then. But Vandy is no Michigan from back then either.

I mean Appy was probably better than at least the bottom 60 teams in FBS that year. If Michigan lost to Illinois, people might be shocked but they wouldnt talk about it to this day (although Appy was better than Illinois). People were fixated on the 1-AA thing. Not to bring it up again, but that Appy team was likely better than the GSU team coming off the 2-10 record.

Your right. I remember ETSU getting pummeled by some of those Appy teams in the 90s. Still, this game warms my Buccaneer heart.
