1st - I have no love for the Trumpster.
2nd - Hillary would be an absolute disaster as POTUS.
We should sticky this thread and should Hillary win because votes are siphoned off the R candidate by a 3rd party see who admits to casting that independent vote.
Don't you think any voters that do vote 3rd consider the candidate he/she is voting for a better option or he/she considers both the R and D nominee equally bad.
Don't say voting 3rd party is a wasted vote because the 3rd party candidate cannot win. If that is your reasoning , tge same can be saif of everyone that voted for McCain or Romney wasted there vote because they had no chance to win.
No I do not think the majority of 3rd party voters think that candidate is a better option. I think the majority fall into 1 or more of the following categories.
Bat**** crazy 1 issue voters.
Want to stick it to the establishment types.
Crybabies who didn't get it their way.
And then the ones who think they are way smarter than they really are and want to say "don't blame me I voted for Gary Johnson".
I consider those that vote for a candidate because candidate has a R or D beside their name is someone that blindly follows a party instead of chosing the best candidate.

That's why we have ****ing primaries to try and get to the best candidates. The primaries could be the 3rd, 4th, 5th party elections if those candidates and their supporters were interested in actually accomplishing anything.
Or maybe, juuuuuuuuust maybe they realize that voting 3rd party will ONLY make sure Hildabeast is POTUS and they love the country more than their pride.
I'd like a show of hands from all of you 3rd party guys. Who here worked on a local or state election team for a 3rd party candidate or do you only rear your heads when the big chair is up for grabs?
But defeating Hillary is only important as long as the GOP candidate is picked in the way that you prefer, right? If Trump loses a brokered convention, then screw beating HRC!
The candidate that WINS the nomination in a fair manner is all myself and most voters require. What the establishment is doing right now (and for a while now) is an effort to thwart the will of the voter. To say otherwise is not just incorrect but is also a damned lie. Everyone sees what's happening. And you know it too.
I think a brokered convention would be disastrous for the party. I've never said otherwise.
But you were the one trying to convince me and others that beating Hillary is priority #1. You said that voting for a third party is to vote for HRC. But you have completely crawfished on that argument when the possibility of Trump running as a third party candidate is brought up. You don't even seem to recognize your own double-speak.

I would vote for a 3rd party candidate who had warm blood if it was a possibility. Thats how parties get started and looks like we need a Peoples Party very soon. A 3rd party getting 5% might turn into to something real 12 years down the road.
But not voting for the nominee will get Hillary elected. So what's more important: beating Hillary, or voting for your preferred candidate?
Again, apples to oranges. Losing or winning is totally different than taking.
No they wont. It will take a grassroots effort to elect local, state and house members before they could be any threat to the 2 main parties.
Did you donate money, do any campaigning or work for your guy?
That was your answer to the direct question. Either beating Hillary is the most important issue, or it isn't. If you'd vote for whatever candidate the GOP runs, then fine, say so. Stop crawfishing and abandoning your argument when you don't like the possibilities that are thrown out.
