Von Pearson Update

So basically if you're a football player at UT you should just use your hand for 4 years, otherwise you run the risk of losing your entire career over some vagina that might accuse you of something.

Or not make a complete ass of yourself, hitting on someone who's not interested (this happens), but then persisting?

--no specific info on the VP situation, but I've heard your tired-sorry-ass angle so many times that I felt obliged to reply. :hi:

It's not impossible to have a love life and act with a modicum of respect. Challenging, but doable.

You're assuming guilt with your response however. Based on things I've heard it's quite possibly the opposite. Sadly, women don't wear signs that say "I'm a crazy, vindictive ***** that will ruin you regardless of whether you did anything wrong or not".

Sure, there are the crazy, vindictive ***** that you refer to. Are you saying that they're all like that?

What I meant is that in most cases, college love affairs/ hookups are just two people scratching itches or (hey, let's be optimistic here) exploring a possible relationship. Maybe they work out; maybe they don't. Perhaps if they treat one another with mutual respect, the urge to sue their sorry asses (whee!!!) will fade over time, the way it does with most of us.

I'm not assuming guilt. On the other hand, I've been around for six decades now, and I've seen a lot of things that used to shock me and now just make me smh. That's for both males and females.

eta: when I referred to your "sorry-ass-angle", I was speaking to that pitiful image of having to resort to "the hand" for four years, or five or six or however long it takes these days. Don't you think that's a tiny bit melodramatic?

No, they don't wear signs that say that, but what's truely sad is that most guys have learned that by the time they are 18 years old that in our society women hold all of the cards, and the only way to deal with them is to take the high road at all times. If you don't the results can be disaterous! Why can't UT football players get this fundamental concept about how to behave around women?

I can't start a thread so I will ask in here. I live in Kingsport and I hear some news about the program through friends and family of

Swafford and Foreman. This seems to be the first bit of bad news from them but just trying to figure out if it's true, Rumor has it up

here that Swafford will no longer play football for UT, the person said he was kneed in the top of his helmet during the Bowl game and

now has to have surgery(Neck injury). I was also told that bUTch is going to let him keep his scholarship and finish school. Real bummer if this is

true, I have watched him play since pee wee and always thought he was special. It would be cool if bUTch let him finish school though

Just wondering if any of this is true.

GO VOLS!!!!!

Bump. Good call sir

unfortunately he comes from an environment were spitting game doesn't end with No.

Can Von not sue the city for dragging thing out so long and causing him mental destress?

Of course not, he's guilty. Didn't you see the trial that played out in Butch Jones' office, in the media, and here on VN?!

Mental destress (sp). I think you are saying mental distress.

What mental distress?

Hasn't he been accused of criminal conduct? The police certainly have a right to investigate criminal allegations.

It's up to CBJ if he plays or not. As we all know, playing football for UT is a privilege and NOT a right.
