What would people think if they decided to let him participate in Fall camp if this isn't cleared up one way or the other by then? And they wouldn't have to let him play in games unless he is cleared. I'm just thinking that if he missed camp and then gets cleared during the season, he will be so far behind he might not even be able to get on the field. I know Coach Debo isn't changing a whole lot of things but surely some things are different. Would be a lot of catching up I think. Maybe his teammates have kept him up to date..
Has he taken a red-shirt year? Is there the possibility that if he isn't cleared in time for fall camp but is cleared, he could play next year instead?
He hasn't taken a redshirt yet, so that's a great point. He is already 24 I believe so that'd be pretty crazy having a 25 year old on the team in 2016.
If he practiced in fall camp but wasn't cleared by the first game, it would take away valuable first team snaps from whomever will be the next man up which would also benefit Dobbs to get a feel for the new WR. Puts Butch in a hard spot either way.
He hasn't been detained, arrested or charged. If they don't have the evidence to make a case against him, why continue to hold him out? I agree with Butch suspending him, but the flip side of that is the KPD moving the process forward in a timely fashion. Charge him by July or reinstate him for fall camp.
LOL, you think they should get paid more? Look at the people that become cops...the 2 people I went to high school with that became cops were basic ass C students and losers with no friends, and they think being a cop will finally give them respect. Well, they're in for a rude awakening though when they realize it's 2015 and hardly anyone respects or trusts cops anymore...and less so every day when another cop goes full retard and kills another unarmed suspect.
People become cops because their life didn't go as planned and they couldn't get a real job, so they thought they'd finally be "cool" and respected, so they took a job that nearly anyone qualifies for. Not saying that all cops are losers with an iq under 60 and but far more than any other "profession".

Because he has very serious allegations against him. If they arrest and charge him while he's a participating member of the team, it looks bad (like they were ignoring bad behavior). And if he were to get charged right before a big game, that would change game planning and team moral (like Johnson before the Mizzou game).
I don't like it, but I understand it.
As far as KPD, they really could move faster!
Guys look how long AJ's trial has been going on.. I wouldn't expect Von to be there this season.
