I dont buy it yet but we are getting closer to a top 5 type team. When we go thru bama and a&m we will know. Till then its just hopeful on our part.
But ESPN says to sell us. Computers, bahhhh... what do they know?
That's not ESPN - That's a gambling guru who is a special contributor to ESPN - the same guy who apparently picked us to only have 4 wins this season justifying his "gambling advise" to subscribers with his conclusion that we would fall apart after the Florida Loss and get toasted even by the back end of our schedule because - get this - the guys behind the starters on our team have not bought in to the Butch Jones philosophy. To me his argument made no sense - why would these kids sign with Butch if they weren't going to buy in? Never mind the slew of young guys behind the starters who have stepped up big time for us due to injuries.
One thing to keep in mind when reading ESPN articles nowadays is that they've had to cut out a lot of high dollar writers so the guys they're publishing now are ranked well outside what you might think of as the ESPN 300. It's a matter of economics and Disney's demand that they continue to cut costs.
At the moment ESPN SEC Power rankings have us at #3 in the conference behind A&M and Alabama and the ESPN FPI has us at #8 in the nation. Seems legit as those are the only 2 games FPI does not have us favored.

I cant help feeling that if Wisconsin or Texas or Georgia would've beaten Florida they would miraculously be #3 right now.
