All three QBs were present at practice. Brian Maurer was running first in position drills and in team drills.

Starting with the quarterbacks, all three guys were active Tuesday, with Brian Maurer going first in both individual and routes on air periods. During work with the tailbacks, Jarrett Guarantano went second, but he flipped roles with JT Shrout during the pass skeleton drill.

All three quarterbacks had their moments, but Maurer did misfire on several deep shots.

Rocker really harped on the guys not getting pushed out of the gaps they are responsible for. If you go back and watch Kentucky’s success against Missouri, there were gapping holes for the Kentucky run game as the Tigers defensive front had no gap integrity, allowing wideout Lynn Bowden to pick his lane to run through on the way to a 200 yard day and a win for the Wildcats

Brandon Kennedy started with the first-team but gave way to Ryan Johnson midway through the drill as the Vols look to limit the center’s reps. Later in the period, the tackles when to work with the tight ends. Darnell Wright had his left ankle heavily tapped and didn’t do much early before getting more involved near the end of the period. Jahmir Johnson was also out there and was participating in both drills.

During mesh-point work with the running backs, the order looked to be Brian Maurer, J.T. Shrout and Jarrett Guarantano. In the routes-on-air session that followed, the order was Maurer and Shrout up first with Guarantano rolling in afterward. Read into those orders what you will, but do so at your own peril.
One potential concern with Guarantano's hand situation is his clapping in terms of Tennessee's cadence. The Vols are going on the road this week, and even though Kentucky isn't the loudest environment in the SEC, offensive coordinator Jim Chaney was barking at the quarterbacks to be loud on their claps and didn't want any of the three of them doing anything quietly. The Vols could alter the cadence with Guarantano and may have to if he plays on Saturday night.
Both Wright and Johnson were taking some reps during Tuesday's practice, which is more than either did in the open-viewing portions of practice on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.
Theo Jackson was going through drills with the safeties on Tuesday's practice. He missed the UAB game due to an undisclosed injury, though it looks like it is possibly a bad ankle.
Georgia transfer Deangelo Gibbs has showed his playmaking ability as a wide receiver for Tennessee's scout-team offense on a weekly basis this season, and he could have an important role to play in helping the Vols this week.
Gibbs was in a yellow No. 1 jersey, presumably meaning he's mimicking Kentucky receiver-turned-quarterback Lynn Bowden Jr. for the scout team this week.

UK starters at the line of scrimmage are stout, but this should be on we can win with depth, such as it is.

Didn’t Maurer start the last time he went first in reps?

Hopefully those down field throws are just rust and can be fixed
