Vols Practice Thread #4

Update....

A roommate of missing freshman student Ja'Marcus Peterson can confirm that between the hours of 6:00pm and 10:00pm numerous mysterious calls were received by Ja'Marcus. The roommate who wishes to remain anonymous states:
"It was weird, at the the time we just thought it was, you know, a prank or whatever, but some dude just kept calling over and over saying in this country kinda sling blade voice, saying, 'Imma put these here invisible britches on you, umm hmm'."

Which D1 program did you play for? Have you been considered for the GOAT title yet? Drops happen and most are happening with receivers that had Vaseline hands last year. Give a little time for the new coaches to get the players heads on straight.

Maybe try removing your head from your @$$ and reread my comments. I didn't call out ANY of our players individually. I said I don't understand drops on THIS LEVEL. Meaning ALL of college football. They should know how to catch by now. Especially against air...

It's practice#4. If it's still happening when we get to #10 or 11 I'll be concerned.

Lol! That’s flat out ridiculous. By this age, wide receivers can either catch passes or they can’t. They don’t learn how to catch during fall practices. At this rate, it looks like the majority of them may need to eventually be given a look at DB in the future (once we have recruited new wide receivers that actually have hands).

And I really don’t understand drops at the college level. When I was in high school, I caught everything. It was partially thanks to basketball I believe, which I think requires more concentration dribbling, passing, catching, etc with sweaty hands. But I transitioned to catching the football very quickly, in my opinion. Probably had some of the better hands on the team. All that being said, I don’t understand how a kid on scholarship to a major D1 program drops passes...

Because Butch Jones recruited athletes rather than football players. It doesn’t matter how fast you run if the the ball is lying on the ground because you dropped it.

Maybe I should. Name me one great WR in the last 10 years at Tennessee not named Cordarrelle Patterson..

I’ll wait...
you still waiting? I can't think of any either.😥 but I hope that changes with Coach YAC being here to show them how to be great. Look what he did with a walk on at Memphis, Anthony Miller.

Listen twiddle dee and twiddle dumb..Coach Johnson is the truth! Relax
I have been relaxing for the last 10-12 years and living in misery. Sick of our lackluster play and losses. This is TN. Not Slipperyrock U.

What is Tennessee? 2 National Titles (one legit)? 13 SEC Titles (9 legit)? 20 10 win seasons (9 by Phil)? 65% program winning % (much less without 2 coaches included)? Not Slippery Rock but down the list from the big boys.
