How many times in your lifetime have the “experts” been closer to predicting Tennessee’s record than you were? I’d imagine probably all but a few times.

I’ve already said what I think. I think we will be ranked to begin the year, and at the end of the regular season we will be at the bottom of the top 25 or at the top of “others receiving votes.”

Doesnt hurt my feelings. Surprised to see a few teams so high though. Penn state, USCe, and FLA all ranked higher than I would imagine they should be. Specifically FLA considering their Qb hasn’t thrown a pass all spring.

Joel Klatt don't know shat. In this case I'm not super offended though, we have a ginormous question mark at QB. I'm not saying I wouldn't rank us, but I'm not going to be extremely butthurt about someone doubting us given the whole Nico abscondence.

Way too early Polls never have meant much I remember Auburn starting outside top 25 and winning it all. Now with thousands of Portals you never know. One guy can be mediocre in one system and shine in another. Look at Indiana last year they had one of the most portaled player as a team along with Colorado and had their best year in forever.
Said all that to say the pre-season Polls are less and less accurate in this new age football.

90% of the time, the team is usually in top 15 preseason polls. That being said, this isn't a legitimate top 25 poll anyways but just one person's viewpoint. We won't win it all but I imagine we will be in preseason top 25 AP and coaches poll once they drop.

Klatt wasn't high on the Vols last season, then after two games of Nico playing against FCS competition he bought all the hype and had up in the top 5. Then he quickly dropped us as a fringe top 25 team. He is always a step behind and over-reacts when it comes to us. It is what it is. He just isn't tuned into the SEC as much.

He is a huge Colorado homer (bc he played there). Last preseason he had Colorado vs Nebraska as one of the top 10 or 15 most important games of the year .
