Vols Nicknames throughout history

Season 2023, our team will be referred as The Vol Storm. Very appropriate for the year we return to our rightful place in college football.

My goodness, what an afternoon.
When the band plays the tune;
Of the battle songs, Down The Field and Rockytop;
For a defense that doesn't quit, and an offense that can't be stopped.
My goodness, to witness UT's glory being reborn;
And to hear the fans yelling, Vol Storm! Vol Storm! Vol Storm!
=====================================
The meteorologists filling in as announcers will be lost in blinding blizzards and an orange-gued hurricanes.
My goodness, what an afternoon.

There's been some good/great nicknames throughout Vols history.

Condredge "The Artful Dodger" Holloway
Dewey "The Swamp Rat" Warren
George "Bad News" Cafego
Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds
Reggie "The Minister of Defense" White
Raynoch "Noch Noch" Thompson
Josh "Rocketman" Dobbs
NuKeese "Nuke" Richardson
Mike "Stop" Cofer
Mike "Go" Cofer

What are some of the best, in your opinion??
The first 4 on your list are my favorites. Hacksaw tops the list due to the story behind it.

@peaygolf posted this last year in his countdown thread, “Diamond” Dick Dorsey.
Not sure what he did to earn that nickname.

87 days......

In 1933, Tennessee hosted Virginia Poly (Tech), one of the stronger teams in the east. Beattie Feathers had over 100 yards, but the highlight of the game went to “Diamond” Dick Dorsey for his 87 yard touchdown, in the Vols 27-0 victory!

Weirdly there was a third Mike Cofer (kicker from NC state) who went to the NFL and later Nascar was like one year older than the Linebacker from TN I couldn't find much info on the tight end

Man, you went way back for that one! Well done sir.
If Tracy had stayed at UT.......he might be remembered as a top 5 RB in Vols history.................He was that good
