Side note: I always thought Doug Atkins had a nickname, but then I realized that a man tough enough to blow bubbles with beef jerky has no need for a nickname.

Was he called this when he was at Tennessee? I seem to remember that nickname coming about after he got to the NFL.

If we're counting NFL nicknames, then you have say Peyton "The Sheriff" Manning.

Another one James "Little Man" Stewart.
